The chinless wonder, the Alabama butterball, DUmmy Li'l Ava drops by on winter break to share her immense talent. Her video is really, er, special.

My final short film for my first semester at NYU
In my first semester I took a class called Digital Frame & Sequence. In the class we take photos with a DSLR and record audio in order to make a video. For my final project I decided to take a poem and put visuals to it and had a friend from my scholar's program do the voice over reading. The photos were hard to take. I had to turn a plain black room into a prison cell with lighting. I basically built a prison wall with a window out of foam poster boards and then used a lighting kit to light through the window opening to make the lighting in the room seem like that of a prison cell. It was really cool working with the lighting kit and designing the lighting for the shoot.
Hope you like!

11. You captured the mood perfectly...
all of your shots are very nicely designed. Great contrast. I particularly liked the close-up of the prisoner with the highlight in the eye -- very effective, and a nice touch. Very well done.

The images are superb.
Thanks for sharing!
For a final kiss of death, a positive review from the spooky California Peggy. If the worst writer in the history of written language likes your stuff,  you have a problem:

7. My dear Ava!
Wow, sweetie!
This is really well done. I cannot wait to see what you come up with as you mature...
I accidentally rated you at 3 stars...sorry! I wasn't sure how to do it, and I clicked in the wrong place...
I left a comment as well!
For some reason, Li'l Ava's silly video reminded me that someone here recently brought up the poetic stylings of Tyrone Green. While I watched Li'l Ava's masterpiece, in my mind I kept hearing "Kill my landlord, kill my landlord. C-I-L-L my land lord." Tyrone and the Butterball have a lot of artistic similarities.
