I have never lied on this forum, if anything, maybe I am too honest and too open. It seems that I share too much and that rubs others the wrong way.

Sure, I expected that you and I would have nothing in common politically, and that's all right. Opposites attract and make for great conversation.

So I joined DU, thinking I'd find like-minded people there.

What I didn't expect was PC, narrow-minded, intolerant, uncreative, uninformed, uneducated whiners and wusses who were insane any time any of their unfounded theses were put forth. To challenge someone's idiotic post is, in the eyes of DU, to be a troublemaker of the highest order.

greenbriar, a plague, a pox if ever there was one, was once banned from DU for completely - absolutely, thoroughly - plagiarizing a piece by Mythsaje (proving forever more than she has absolutely no taste in literature) and holding it out as her own, giving permission to people to post parts of it, the whole ownership thing. It was lovely. It was a perfect lie.

It happened before my time, but good DUers (there are plenty) PMd me when I was having an exchange with her about her teenager daughter leaving the home where the parents put up FOR YEARS with an unemployed drunk who never left the house and who was a great buddy to greenbriar's husband, who clearly preferred spending time with the unemployed drunk than with greenbriar (who, by the way, strikes me as a maintenance worker in a school, but hardly a teacher). These people who PMd me provided me with links to the episodes where greenbriar claimed ownership, and concluded with a note from an administrator had been banned for plagiarism.

I guess I got into trouble for doing that. It was so stupid, I quit posting at DU. Several months later, I find from friends that T LaB has been tombstoned, another matter of the mods at DU needing to have control, to be "right," to indulge in another matter of "I'll show them." They obviously cannot handle being thrown away. And I did a fine job of throwing them away. They just can't admit it.

I was disruptive because I told the truth and cut through their nonsense. They operated on "feelings." believing all the silliness Will Pitt and Jason Leopold put out about the impending arrest of Karl Rove. Those posts were so silly, and when it was pointed out to them, the crowds with the pitchforks and torches grew ugly, and attacked the truthteller.

What a bunch of clowns. You may be all screwed up politically, but I did laugh a lot when I saw your candidates for Top Primitive of 2009. I've been Tombstoned, but I hope I'm still a viable candidate, although, possessing a finely functioning brain, I fear I'll lose out to so many other, better qualified candidates.

In the meantime, I can only commend you on your diligence, perusing DU to the point where you can quote lost-ago posts and threads. For that, though, I would recommend something perhaps a bit avant-garde, since you seem like such nice people.

I would urge you to get away from your keyboards and monitors and get a real life. You'll have a lot more, and you'll learn a lot more, and life will just expand in the most beautiful way for all of you.

I might be getting old and senile, but the way I remember it is she did claim and give permission.  She really doesn't lie, she just misremembers.
