« on: December 12, 2009, 01:23:20 PM »
This year's tree...I am in a temporary apartment this year...but I'm making the most of it.

I chopped off the angel at the top...on the bottom are my other two angels... :-)

My son took the commanding role in decorating the tree this year.  I think he did a pretty good job.

Both are beautiful!!! We skipped the tree this year since we just moved and we're going to visit family....

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

What did you have to do to get Santa to leave you a baby under the tree?

Doesn't anyone have a real tree any more? I bought mine yesterday. A Douglas Fir. It cost 100.00. I'm putting it up tomorrow. Pics to follow.

Here's two from previous years.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

No tree for me.

I did buy my mom a small tree this year, it's first tree she put up since dad passed away.

Mine's real. It was priced at $90, I offered $70 and the guy said OK. I'm a cheapskate. I always try to haggle the price.  :-)

I think that's spelled "s.t.a.l.k.e.r."   :naughty:

I have a bunch of stuff already, but I'll be honest (sorry to be a scrooge), I don't like exchanging gifts at Christmas. My Mom always goes overboard (spends like $3K/year), my relatives are not in a financial position to really buy gifts, my sister and I can't stand each other, and I don't really like receiving gifts. I'd rather just have a nice dinner with family than buy gifts for people out of politeness or guilt (that sounds cynical, eh?).
