Rose Parade Float Decorating

This is a great Father-Daughter/ Family outing, for that after Christmas, “I am bored” week, just before school starts.

This float is for the City of  Downey and is one of the smaller ones.

Dates: Dec 26 to Dec 31
Hours: 10 am to 11 Pm


Directions from Knott’s Berry Farm:

91 freeway west to
605 freeway north to
105 freeway west
Exit Paramount Bld, turn right ( north bound)
Left on Gardendale, west bound
200 ft before the RR tracks is a driveway labeled Erickson ave, turn right.
It is the first building on the right.

We have not decided what days we will be there, but I'll let you know

OK, got my work schedule worked out. We will be there Dec 29th 10 am for the day.

Some tips:

Wear old clothes - glue and paint- and something for long hair.

When you first get there, you will be assigned to cut flowers. Everyone cuts flowers. They don't know you and this is how they test your commitment, patients and if you can follow simple directions. About an hour of cutting flowers, someone will come up and ask you to do something on the float. If there is a job you want to do, ask them then.

Food in the past has been spotty, sometimes a roach coach, sometimes pot luck. Best bring something.
