I keep up, so I am not surprised.  I am disappointed.  The mowing season is upon us and that extra sunshine just makes the grass grow that much faster.

Um, does the grass follow a Timex?

I forgot it was this weekend!   :o

Good thing my cellphone changes over automatically (I don't have a real clock of any kind, not even an alarm...my cellphone does double duty with it's obnoxiously loud alarm feature. LOL )

Took me by surprise as well - I'm used to it being later in the year, like most people I'm sure.

It's actually a VRWC endeavor...more sunshine keeps the DUmmies in their basements.   :-)

We don't change our clocks here in Arizona.
The rest of you all, enjoy that hour of sleep you're going to lose.
I won't lose any sleep over it.   :rimshot:

Moving the clock to the left or to the right has no bearing on how much daylight there is during the day. Days are getting longer because we're getting closer to the solstice. ..unless I'm reading you wrong.  :-)

Well, days get longer naturally between the Winter solstice and the Summer solstice, that is a given.  And then when we change our clocks and add another hour of daylight, well, that's just fooling with nature.  It seems to me we aren't saving daylight.  We are spending more of it.  We are saving nightlight to spend next winter.  They have it rigged where it is dark by 5:30 pm on Christmas Day.  It's just not right.

Winter solstice around here results in a sunset around 4:25pm.   :banghead:  That's just wrong.

We're not adding another hour of daylight, Undies. We're just shifting the time spectrum as it would appear to us. The grass isn't fooled.

I bought this fancy Timex alarm clock a few years ago that automatically changes with day light savings time.  Now, I have to change it on Monday (it's the clock I keep at work) and then in a few weeks it'll automatically change as well since we moved the dates around.   :hammer:

You're just trying to confuse me with crafty language.  I KNOW it will get dark an hour later.  That means there will be an extra hour of daylight.

So, instead of getting up at 4:00 AM to fly I have to get up at 3:00 AM :((

Doesn't the extra hour of sunshine cause more global warming?  We really should put a stop to this!!!!

If that were a fact then we could leave the clock alone and just get up and start everything an hour earlier.

Why the hell not?  The teevee would have us believe that the Sun can cook breakfast for his family! :-)

The sun just hangs out there like a nucleus while earth spins around it like an excited proton, constantly changing the face it shows to the sun.  It would be the earth which tells time.  The sun doesn't care.  We slow down the earth to cause each face to be exposed to the sun longer.  This causes the days to be longer too.
