  Ok so far all we sheep have to go is disinformation, propaganda and what ever else our Shepard's feed us.

Face it, human nature does not enjoy bad news and will ignore it if they can.   Then we stand back with a shocked look on their face as events come to be.


Who among us can differentate between being fed garbage and the real deal.    How many of our population really give a rats Ass as to politics as long as they are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. A chicken in every pot.

We will not have a civil war, but a knock down fight that is revelatory in nature may come about.

But then, perhaps as long as everyone has a full belly and the right to head out to a bar, whats their worry.

Then to the the people who are nor rich but have a comfortable life, long as they can keep up their life style why complain.

Down to the poorest, they will be fed, and get medical care even if they are living in a van with 6 kids.--------Are they willing to give up food to revolt.?

Even the Hoover-vills did not cause the country to revolt---why if they come back would we expect anything different.?

Out of curiosity, I went looking for published "troop levels" to get a sense of how realistic that "1 million" figure might be.

Based on the figures I found, 1 million would be 2/3 of the total number of men and women on active duty in all services, according to May 2009 numbers.  Basically, that 1 million figure would be every active duty soldier and marine, plus the total reserve forces for both services (excluding Army National Guard forces).

As it seems highly unlikely that The Øne has converted to Ronulan-level isolationism, I call  :bs:

Def 6, did you fail math??

1.45 Million on active duty and another .85 million in the reserves. That makes a total of 2.3 Million that are serving in one form or another. One million is less than half of all available troops. I'm not real sure I totally believe the OP story, but, as we ALL know, The One isn't to be trusted. Just look at the people he's surrounded himself with....

I don't think you read his post all that closely.  The figures you two used are not really inconsistent, if you read what he actually wrote instead of what you think he wrote.

And yeah, he's not to be trusted, but come on, only a total dyed-in-the-wool CT-nut would believe this story AT ALL.
