It breaks my heart to do this, but I'm afraid I have to.  I just have too many things that are taking time away from what I should be focusing on: my faith, my family, getting things done, etc.  I sat down last night and thought of the things that are "time-wasters and distractions" (I actually wrote out a list with that title!  how pathetic is that?  :p ) and, unfortunately, I had to admit that CC fell into that category.  I've actually been slowly doing this for a couple months now (such as removing politics stuff and all those silly quizzes on my Facebook account), but I need to start taking the final steps to weed out everything that takes me away from the things I need to do.

You're all very dear to me and I've enjoyed my time here interacting with you all.  I'll still be active on Facebook, so look me up there.  If you aren't my friend there yet, ask another CC Facebooker you know who knows me there and they can send you my way.  Schade's a good person to start with.  I think she's friends with everybody.   :-)  BEG, too.  I love to keep in touch with people, however remotely that may be.

Jinx.....the holidays are stressors on us whether we want to acknowledge it or not.....take a break, enjoy your family, do what you need to do.

I too have been contemplating taking a break from the political stuff.  I think it stresses me out too much and I end up with all this auto-immune crap popping up all the time.  For those of you not on my FB my UVeitis is back yet again and my reactive arthritis is also back in my neck/shoulder area (both the reactive arthritis and UVeitits are connected) and it hurts like a bitch.  The latest thing that has sent me through the roof is the Climategate thing.  I was talking to my husband last night and I was just so pissed off about it and he was telling me I needed to clam down that it isn't good for me to get this upset....and he is right.  I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do.  If anyone has any advice on how not to get so pissed off at everything that is going on in this country I will gladly take note.  

It's probably the steroids talking today (I am on 50 mg of prednisone and predforte drops in my eye) and when I start tapering next week (or perhaps the next) I will feel back to normal.  Sorry to steal your "I'm leaving" thread Jinx.   :p  If anyone wants his FB info, just ask me.  :)

On on a side note, my husband finally took my quilting machine out of the crate today because we only have until monday to claim stuff on the insurance for the move.  It is totally screwed...I'm so pissed.

Jinx, enjoy your time off. Real life takes precedence. You're a wise person to see what needs to be done. I've been posting way less than I used to, realized that there's a big real world out there and lots to do in real life. Drop by and say hi to everyone.
