Don't cut the scores, don't cut the GPA, doesn't matter how much Jesse or Al bitch, you're still not qualified, and you're still not gonna get in.

I heard the same bullshit when I was going through Nuke School, and the same thing from the kids when I was in recruiting.  Amazing how quickly some of them stopped crying when I said that nuclear power was a "zero tolerance" profession.

That being said, I knew a lot of minorities (black, Asian, and Hispanic) nukes that had their shit wired together VERY well.

Anyone ever come to the conclusion that the lack of minorities is due to them not being interested and not because "evil rethug white America" makes it unfriendly to them? My God, the damn opportunities are there. It ain't due to whitey and dumbass f'n studies like this do one thing, **** up the situation entirely because the idiots in charge start interjecting social engineering into the situation.

No, but some of the underachievers (regardless of color) in school managed to get out the front door with our friendly Section Advisor's boot up their ass, putting them on M-35 (that's Mandatory study hours--35 hours a week, 5 hours per night, MINIMUM.)

Someone ought to tell these idiot Congressmorons there is NO such thing as the "Gentleman's C" in ANY military school.  Either you have what it takes, or you don't.  I don't need some asshole going to hell on me at 800-plus feet when flooding just got called off because he doesn't like swimming, this ain't what he signed up for, or worst of all, he just wasn't qualified to be there in the first place.

Not at all--quite the opposite.  For how long have we heard that the military, aka "The Man", only wants minorities and the poor, that blacks are overrepresented in the armed forces, blah blah blah blah?

Jesus, I wish these idiots would pick a side and stick to it.  While I don't like the fact we didn't have a whole lot of black nukes (had lots of Hispanic and Asian guys as nukes, though) part of it is because they simply didn't have the educational fundamentals to make it in that field, or if they did, they had plenty of other avenues they could pursue.

Same here, knew many that had their shit together.

Hell if they think the black population is low.................what about all those disgrimatory labeled NOFORN manuals, I mean we had all nationalities onboard the ship
