Black Friday, anyone?

So who is shopping on Black Friday and what are you getting?

I'm waiting for the weekend to pick up the last few gifts...I started early this year.

I wonder when Revrun Jessie is gonna declare that the term "Black" Friday is racist.

I'll pass on the whole sordid event. I hate shopping anyway. Last time I went all the menfolk were stumbling around like zombies holding their girlfriends/wives purchases and the wimminfolk were scrambling around like wide-eyed kids in a candy store.

I do BF every year -- it is my  most favorite shopping day of the year!!!

The gals I shop with come to my house Thanksgiving evening and we map out our shopping --- I won't know what store we are hitting first until tomorrow night.

Not I.  I would much rather sleep than fight crowds or freeze my back-side off waiting in a parking lot 3 in the morning!

If I can't get what I need at the gas station/convenience store on Friday, I'll do without until the weekend is over.

I'm working Black Friday....for a major retailer....so yeeeehowdy I'll be there. :mental:
I did the Black Friday thing 4 years ago to get this one-of-23-laptops at the WallyWorld. Luckily I was first in line at the front doors in front of the other 1000 people who wanted one too. Just because the whole experience was so horrendous I swore I'd never do it again. I decided that day that if they don't have what I want at 8am then they didn't really want to sell me anything.

Now that I work days the point became moot. I'm one of the ones standing there watching from inside as the crowds gather at the doors.

Yep--got my present.  Also got the X-Mas cards.  I've already done all the spending I'm gonna do.

Miserable, cold, wet, raining day--not fit for man nor beast, so we're just gonna hang out here.

I don't care if they're giving laptops away for free.  There is no way I will ever again be near any shopping area on BF.

I see we are in agreement!  Did I happen to mention a major shopping center is right at the first exit of the Turnpike on the way home?  Guess how I'll be getting home for the next month?

I went to toys-r-us last night at 12 as a favor to mrs RC. The line to get into the building was nearly 500 yards long, and there was a cop at every entrance to the plaza stopping anyone else from pulling in the lot.

I just went home and went to bed. That's just plain silly.

Well, I'm back at work.  Couldn't sleep worth a damn for some reason.  The elevator here quit working last night... the repairman came out and replaced a fuse.  It went out again about six hours later when one of the women here was coming back from lunch.  Poor woman was stuck on that thing for an hour.

No shopping for me.

I normally avoid going out on Black Friday like the plague. Today, (probably later this evening),  however, I will have to make a trip to Sam's Club for the VFW. I absolutely LOATHE the monstrously rude crowds that are out on Black Friday. I looked for one deal from Best Buy. It was sold out online. I considered for a moment going to the local Best Buy to obtain the item. I immediately vetoed that decision.

I went to WalMart the day before Christmas last year because I needed a couple items.  I was in there for about an hour.

Well, I never thought I'd do it...but I was up at 5am and went to Macy's, then Babysrus and then Target...was home at 9:30am...it was a breeze and my Christmas shopping is done!

But this is because my daughter woke me up..and I couldn't fall asleep..this was by no means planned...it wasn't as hectic as I thought...it was really a breeze..
