Democrats & Unaffiliateds More Likely To Be Unemployed Than Republicans

Thursday, November 19, 2009

Data from Rasmussen Reports national telephone surveys shows that 15.0% of Democrats in the workforce are currently unemployed and looking for a job. Among adults not affiliated with either major party, that number is 15.6% while just 9.9% of Republicans are in the same situation.

These findings are from interviews with 15,000 American adults in October. The numbers show an increase in all categories from earlier in the year.

Your thoughts my friends....

If in the bottle you can not piss.

Then it's you we will dismiss.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Interesting to see these results, it confirms what would have been my gut instinct if asked to guess. Partly that the Dem vote is concentrated in areas of the country suffering higher  unemployment probably due to the existing Democratic control there and partly there will be a higher concentration of self employed people voting Republican. Paradoxically IIRC Democrats on average are richer than Republicans so the Dems are likely to be a combination of limousine liberals and welfare claimants/ethnic lobby (with a smaller middle section) which is similar to the British Labour party - whose coalition has just about imploded.

I was thinking along the same lines but there is no way I could write it out the way you did.

And the resultant higher taxes, and stricter regulation forced on the local economy by the Democrats in power (which forces business out eventually, taking jobs elsewhere)........add to that higher entitlements in these areas attracting those who have no intention of working, and will continue to vote for the party that writes them checks......

Areas with iron Democrat control are the areas hardest hit by the rescession, as the Democrats have the same prescription of high taxes and idiot regulation everywhere.  Oregon has been run by Democrat governors without interruption since 1990.  We have the third highest unemployment rate.   California had Grey Davis, and Arnold has to contend with the reality of a Demo Legislature and California is bleeding.   New York and Michigan are of course the same way.

So if you vote democrat, your area will suffer badly, and so will you.

And there is also the problem of attitude, education, work ethic, etc etc etc.
