What is it about "Sam"?
« on: March 04, 2008, 10:04:31 AM »
First, there is Samhall or Samhill or whatever his name was at CU.  I got called a moonbat because of that  :censored:

Now there's Sammyboy, here.  Is Sam just a liberal name or what?  Am I the only conservative Sam on the internets?  Just gets frustrating sometimes.

For the record, IRL, my name is not Sam.

SAMUEL

Gender: Masculine

Usage: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Biblical

Pronounced: SAM-yoo-el (English), SAM-yool (English)   [key]
From the Hebrew name שְׁמוּאֵל (Shemu'el) which could mean either "name of God" or "God has heard". Samuel was the last of the ruling judges in the Old Testament. He anointed Saul to be the first king of Israel, and later anointed David. A famous bearer was the American author Samuel Clemens, who wrote under the pen name Mark Twain.

I thought Sam Fisher was a cool username.  Im a fan of the Splinter Cell games.  But now Im afraid of blending in with the tools.

That's the difference in folks, I guess.  I chose my screen name in order to blend in.

I chose my screen name because back in the day, when FR first had registering, I actually believed Duke Nukem Forever might actually come out.

Actually, I still believe that.

As for my friend Sam, he stayed just the same.
