I have to work a full-time job, because my husband's (not to shabby by today's sandards) salary would only allow me to stay home and raise the kids if we lived in a neighborhood full of thugs that would un-do any infulence I have on my kids. And, my salary will never equal what a man makes in my position. Oh - and I get to cook and clean, launder, bathe, supervise homework, nurse illnesses, all on my generous time off from my 40-hour job.
