Hear Ye, Hear Ye! It's Thursday!
« on: November 05, 2009, 07:32:36 AM »
What's up, peeps?      :-)

Got up all early this morning, anticipating being called in to work  (I find it easier to just plan on working), and NADA...here I sit.   Oh well.

Not a whole lot going on around here...cloudy, semi-colder today.  About time to haul out the big jackets soon.

My psycho sister messaged me last night.  She can't be bothered to stop by when she's 5 minutes from my house, but wants to come up here with all the kids over Thanksgiving break.  :banghead:

Cold and sunny here this morning.  The trees have lost most of their leaves but the grass is still green.

Chance of rain out here today.  Nothing too exciting going on.

My cat does not follow the time change and expects to be fed at his usual time (which is now before 5 AM).  Coffee is a good thing :p

So does mine, but she adapts after a day or so.  Smart cat.

Sunny and almost 80 expected today.  No rain in sight.   Just beginning the suckage that is Annual Open Enrollment time.  Some lame brain decided to make the deadline the day before Thanksgiving, so I am just hoping that we (I) don't have to spend my 4 day weekend auditing.

I left my coffee by the front door this morning.

I opened up the Information Desk and within less than a minute was confronted by a spoiled princess bitching me out because our building hours didn't meet her demands....because I clearly have control over that.

I forgot my coffee. Did I mention that?

I think it might be one of those days.

Oh jen I feel your pain. My boss was lurking outside my office when I came in. He was wearing his Obama Mom jeans which is a bad sign. That means he doesn't have any client meetings or appointments and plans on being in the office ALL DAY.

I didn't get to even take a sip of my coffee for an hour. You left yours at home. Mine was sitting here taunting me.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I'm on Vicodin!  Yay acetaminophen and hydrocodone!!11

And I can officially state that my first verified bone break hurts like a mother scratcher.  Elevation and rest for a few days they said. Meh. They can come here and cook and do dishes then.

It's sunny out here today at least.  My daughter got hauled in for an orthodontist appointment and is now sporting purple tooth thigies on her toof holders.

(On Edit)

Unlike some here I have been managing to drink coffee all morning. Hah-HA!!!  :-)

Yay -- finally lost my "newbie" status!  Took a year and a half but who's counting?  :-) Sunny and in the mid-40s this morning.  Traffic was easier since the schools are off today and tomorrow due to the annual NJEA teacher's conference in Atlantic City. Yup, they're down there attending such informative sessions as "Advanced Slot Machine Winning Strategies" and the like . . .

Peeve of the day:  why won't anyone ever clean up all the stupid election signs once the elections are over? Admittedly, the 95,000 Corzine signs I see on my way to work are still good for a laugh  :lmao:   but they get old soon!

Predicted sunny and 72-ish today and tomorrow.  I'm looking at heading out goose hunting tomorrow morning.

Today I'm red-lining a short story I've been writing down, based on a dream I had not long ago.  Yeah, I'm bored off my ass.

43 today. Long day of meetings. Long night of pipeline report adjustments.

Had a glass of wine last night. I feel like shit today. Can't say I really miss alcohol that much, though getting used to near-beer is about as easy as getting used to bleach. :)

ETA--black ominous clouds closing in on us as we speak.  Reports of snow up in Portland this AM.  Think it'll be rain by the time it hits us, but I don't trust weather.com as far as I can throw them.

I have some errands to accomplish before I start my second series of MRIs. Nice and sunny here in North Central Texas with a high of 75 being predicted. I sure do HATE being drugged up and worthless on these nice sunny days. The stuff's gotta get done before Monday, though.

Damn sore throat's trying to make a comeback. Need to hit up the drugstore for cough drops, I guess, before work at 1:00.

55 and sunny here....again!!! No rain in the forecast until Tuesday! We just might dry out around here...:yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Nothing exciting going on....doing some work for the other half. I just love being his secretary...not.  :banghead: If he would just develop some more computer skills..... ::)

Might make a carrot cake later, that I was going to make earlier in the week. I"m thinking of doing it as a bundt   cake. Finally made the chicken casserole last night that I was going to make on Monday. It turned out delicious, and since it was in a 9x13 dish, we'll be eating it for dinner tonight too....I am going have to freeze some of it.

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

I watched MythBusters last night.  They managed to polish a turd.  Other than that, nothing else is happening here.

Got up, dog had pissed and crapped all over two rooms.  Got to work, locked my keys in my car.

I need a reset button to start today over, and a few cold beers.
