The legal war between former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean and pageant organisers is over.

A joint statement released Tuesday says Prejean and the organisers of the pageant reached a confidential settlement on dueling lawsuits.

According to TMZ, Carrie Prejean demanded more than a million dollars during her settlement negotiations with Miss California USA Pageant until the Pageant lawyer presented her with a XXX sex tape of which she is the star.

The video has never been released and is apparently so graphic, not even TMZ would play it.

Apparently it took her about 15 seconds to withdraw her demands and accept a $100,000 payout, all of which covers the cost of her lawyers, leaving her with nothing.

Well sucks to be her.  Why girls let themselves be videotaped is beyond me.  In this day and age it is just stupid to have graphic proof of any activities that may come back to bite you in the ass later.

If she was honestly unaware of the recording, I would think it would very likely bolster her case of harassment, discrimination, etc from that organization... as well as, open up the criminal and not just civil case of blackmail.  Additionally, depending on the state there could very well have been laws broken on recording without her permission.

My question is:

What does that have to do with her alligation that the Pageant did a wrong thing in dumping her?

Odds are if there is a tape, some boyfriend of hers did it, with or without her knowledge, and now is trying to cash in on it.

Again, how does this make her claim any less real?

Smacks or blackmail. Quit or we release the tape...

If this is true, sounds like she made some private nudie tape of herself alone for a bf (the TMZ article says she'd have a great "solo career").  Young women sometimes do silly things like this because it's going to please their man.  They don't think about what could happen down the road.
