Under-Treatment of Pain

The under-treatment of pain in the United States is a public health problem of great magnitude. (It is also a major problem in several other countries as well)

It has been estimated that from 50 to 76 million Americans currently suffer from chronic pain. In the good majority of instances, the suffering is unnecessary, since medical science has the knowledge to successfully treat the great majority of cases of pain. One example.....blahblahblah.....

3. The ****ing drug war is a major culprit with the DEA leaning on doctors since they have no hope of ever stopping the torrent of illegal opiates flooding into this country. Doctors are easier. They know where they live.

This is one reason I want it to end. People should have the right to treat their own pain. Period.

No one but the patient can properly titrate pain medication to an effective level.

11. I have pain in my back, neuropathy. And to go without something to control the pain I can last only so long before thoughts of suicide enter my mind.

I am scared to death of the fanatical anti- pain drug people. And I am pissed off deeply at stupid ****ing teenagers who take thier parents or grandparents pain meds to get high. It's all because of ****ing stupid kids doing stupid shit, people who legitamately have pain have to go through a bunch of shit to stop the pain.

I dunno.  Working in a job ameliorates a lot of pain, without use of chemicals.

The DUmmies have it BassAckwards as usual.  Doctors are fairly reasonable at prescribing pain medication, but when the same persons continually find new pains to ask for more drugs, they get suspicious.  If a person has a chronic and VERIFIABLE pain condition, they have no trouble getting prescriptions.

Yeah the US under treats pain, I wonder how my brother died from a methadone overdose (he had enough methadone in him to kill 4 people) if his wife was under treated for pain?!?  She was on OxyContin which she became addicted to so they switched her to methadone.  It's BS that the patient can treat their pain with pain medication to an effective level.  If something isn't working they will just take more and possibly become addicted like my brothers widow or overdose like my brother, instead of talking to the doctor and finding a better medication that works for the person.

Do liberals ever think past the I WANT stage EVER.  Do they ever think about the consequences of anything?  Do they ever think period?  Stupid ****ing idiots.

The DUmmies don't want relief from physical pain, they are seeking pharmaceutical relief from the pain of their own miserable lives. That is why so many of them want to have pot and other drugs legalized.

What happens when the doctors get pissed and overdose needy whiny patients on purpose?

The malpractice reform is to keep such paladins of public good from being on the wrong end of a lawsuit for doing the world a favor like that.

That is it, exactly.

That's why it's difficult to take the primitives seriously, when the primitives whine about pain.

Pain is a real thing, and some people suffer from it.

But one can't take a primitive seriously on this subject.  The primitive just wants drugs, nothing more.

When I was stationed in Italy, twice I had to forgo pain medications because of the Security Clearance I had. One for a fractured finger on the left hand and the other for when my Plt. Ldr hit me so hard during touch football for morning PT that he nearly broke my collar bone. I had to go a month with no pain medication what so ever and still pull duty. When the Dingy Subway feline can do that then I might give a rip about how unfair pain medication is disposed to her and her nutjob friends.

Maybe if it lost a few hundred pounds the back problem would ease up.

The exercise one gets from working in a job helps, too.
