I heard.  My cousin in ME had to cancel their Bonfire tonight because of the rain.   Bright, crisp and sunny here.  Good day to wash the car.
R.I.P. LC and Crockspot.  Miss you guys.

Calling for rain today, but so far I haven't seen it.

Supposed to go to a halloween party tonight, but I think I'm bailing on that and going to a bible study insteady.  I"ll have my daughter take her brothers to the party.

A couple projects in the works today...picture dvd presentation for football banquest tomorrow and social studies fair project for my youngest to help with.

Sunny 79 expected today  :-)

I'm planning on working on my garden.  The Tomatoes still seem to be going, but I want to get out some of the other stuff so that I can start preparing to winterize it.

Overcast and cool right now... 50° and no rain.  Should warm up once the sun comes out.  I have to go drain my radiator and see if I can make any progress on the Volvo.

Again we have water front property due to drainage issues.

Water backs up into the yard a few times a year and I could Kayak in the street.

I now qualify for a handicap plate so I can get the heck out of the house and go places, Yippie just in time to catch the flu.

I am curious about these flu shots--seems like the CDC out spoke themselves a few weeks ago when they assured us in my State and the Nation that they had enough ready to go for the general public.   Do we need just one shot or two as was first reported.?

Why is it my Hubby received a flu shot at work but there is a shortage for little kids in this State.?

A National Emergency now in effect, something said about the National Guard being called up if needed.

Things look bad on this cold rainy Saturday, questions,  should we who have to wait for the shots wear medical face masks, do they make them small enough for a 2 year old?

Will the germs live long enough on adults clothing to infect their family?  Even if you have the flu shot can you infect your kiddies from the germs on your clothing?

How long do thee germs live in the air or on any surface?   Seems like we cannot trust the CDC as they themselves keep giving out false information and guess we will have to depend on ourselves to stay healthy.

A really miserable day.

The sun is finally out and it's a warm 60°.  Changed my antifreeze, but for some reason, I was only able to put in half the amount I was supposed to.  I did not drain the coolant from the block, only the radiator.  I should probably try that once the engine cools off.

NY's Northern Zone deer season, for rifles, opened yesterday.  Met my father at my parents' house at 5 AM to go up to deer camp.  Got into the camp at around 7:20 (I know, I know), with no one dressed yet (typical).  We figured that we could do a few drives before the rain really started.  I was a driver on the first one, and I had seen on the Weather Channel's "future" map that we were due for a shot of rain around 9 AM.  So, I thought enough to wear a rain jacket.  At 9:05 AM, the sky opened up for about an hour.  We were near the end of the drive anyway, and the driver 100 yards to my right told me later that he had something big (judging from the hoofprints it left) moving in front of him--but it went to the left, away from me.  Back to the camp to try to dry out.  Two more drives later, right around 1 PM, it started again--and didn't stop.  My father said, "We're going."  It poured for almost the entire two-hour trip back . . . I'm glad I thought to take a silicone-impregnated cloth with me, as it took a fair amount of the water off of the Winchester 94.  Took me a little while to clean it when I got back, too.  Gonna clean it again today.
