I am one of those people who has always voted...EVERY election from GE to a recall for the school board or a run-off for dog catcher. My best gal pal and I are about the same age...let's just say well over 55. She has NEVER in her life ever voted in any election. In fact, she has NEVER been registered to vote.

This is a very bright, informed, caring lady. When the firings of the USAttys started....her ears perked up and she got interested in things political. We talked and talked a lot. And.....she is talking to me the other day, and <drop dead in a faint> she wants to register to vote so in November she can vote for Barack Obama. She is even watching the debates and reading things like crazy....and after doing this, she made up her mind that she is registering as a Dem and voting for Obama!

I am telling you....this brought tears to my eyes to see her come alive and interested in making a change in our nation!

I am so happy I could :bounce:

Chase her.
Chase her even when she's yours.
That's the only way you'll be assured to never lose her.

They are not even trying anymore.  1/4 bong.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
