I would have told them to bring it on.  Unless it is for some sort of contagious desease, nobody is going to force me to take medication that I don't want to take.

I caved in, when they brought in 4 male nurses by the door.

It was a sedative shot, because I couldn't sleep and too restless to stay in my bed. They forced me to take a shot to make me fall asleep...

I saw a big guy at a psychiatric hospital refuse to take medication..they brought out 16 men to restrain him.

Not sure what hospital you were in, but a patient has the right to refuse any medication or treatment.  It is clear in the Patient's Bill of Rights.  You can always sign out AMA (against medical advice) if they attempt to force it on you...(which is illegal)  The only exception is in a PSYCH ward where they believe you may be a danger to yourself and/or other's.
