The dipshit probably means twisting wire and stringing beads, not real designing, model-making, and casting incandescent metal then finishing it like yours truly. Of course in my case I don't try to make a living at it, it pays its own costs plus a couple thou a year, and I have two real jobs that pay the bills. Anyone wants to see my work, PM me and I'll send you the linky-dink.
Oh, don't get me wrong, DT. I wasn't talking about jewelry-making in general, just what I assume is his version. I know a guy in Fairbanks, Alaska who buys gold and makes all kinds of nice necklaces and pendants. He also owns his own jewelry store right downtown on 2nd street. That is something that has a demand. I don't see too much demand for shit sold by hippies, unless of course, it's from other hippies.
