Hump Day Goodness--who will take THIS one the wrong way?
« on: September 23, 2009, 08:16:19 AM »
Warm, rain never showed up, expected high of 80 with scattered thunder-boomers tonight.  Still working my butt off, wondering if I want to play hooky later this afternoon.

Expected to be in the low 90's today, still pretty hot.  I'm hoping to mow the law this evening, it is starting to look a bit wild.  I have plenty of work to keep me busy, which is how I like it  :cheersmate:  My supervisor called me into her office  recently to discuss a couple of details I should be really careful to watch so that they can make a really strong argument about my overall improvement to the Attorneys when it comes time to promote me, which makes me excited because the last time any promotion possibility was mentioned, they were told that there was a complete freeze until business turned around.  This tells me that things may be improving enough to make it a possibility  :cheersmate:

I dunno.

I'm still sicker than a dog.

But perservering.

Or so people in real life say.

They're probably right, but I wish I wouldn't have to prove it so many times.

It's warm and sunny here. The Atlanta flood rains passed west of me....the current coastal rains are passing east of me. We could use a shower.

Killing time until school gets out. ...gotta take the son to the doctor. He's hoping to get the cast off his leg today and back into his shoes....both of them, that is.

Rain for a change.   :banghead:  We might see sunshine sometime next week.  Glad I live on high ground.

We have the sun out again today! I saw on the weather that it looked like you were getting hammered again today. It all died out before it got to us yesterday....hope it does again today...we're just starting to dry out a bit.

Coach, you need to take up the bolded with The Eternal Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit.  They give all of us what They know we can endure.

As for what's going on today . . . there's some movie being shot in Albany over the next week or so, so the area downtown is all closed off.  The Albany DPW was out earlier cleaning the crosswalks with a soap solution, and on my break, I found out that they hadn't done a proper rinsing job.  Landed on my right shin/calf and my hands.  A lot of grime went onto my hands and my light khaki pants.  The hands were easy to clean.  We'll hafta see about the pants.  It's supposed to get very close to 80 this afternoon, and since I'm not terribly far from Sparky, we're supposed to have scattered thunderstorms this afternoon, too.

Not terribly far?  I mean, yeah, two (almost three) states away has a different connotation on it out here that it might, say, in Colorado, but you're not exactly walking to my house with a cold beer in your hand wanting to share it, now are ya?

I mean, who the hell would I be to refuse cold (free!) beer?
