WAUKEGAN, Ill. (AP) - Waukegan fire officials now say eight people were injured today when an explosion ripped through a strip mall in this northern Chicago suburb.
Deputy Waukegan Fire Chief Dan Young says three people were treated at the scene and five were transported to a hospital. Of those five, four have been treated and released, and one has been admitted.
The remaining patient's condition was not immediately available. Young says none of the injuries are life-threatening.
