Why was it taken at that angle?

Long story behind that photo. That has been in the possession of an old boyfriend who has had it for 22 years. He scanned it in and sent it to me at facebook.... well in his excitement he scanned it in at an angle.

See, back in the old days we took photos with real film.....  :p
