Sex Offender Convicted of Murdering Girl Scout in 1975

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  —  A Nashville jury convicted Jerome Barrett of 2 counts of second-degree murder in the 1975 strangulation death of Girl Scout Marcia Trimble.

The 9-year-old disappeared while delivering Girl Scout cookies in her upscale Nashville neighborhood.

The 62-year-old Barrett became a suspect in the case 1 1/2 years ago through DNA testing.

He is currently serving a life sentence for the 1975 rape and murder of a Vanderbilt University coed. He faces 44 years in prison on each count in this case.

Sounds like 1975 was a busy year for this turd. 

I was hoping that Deb would be able to tell us that the Tennassee correctional system was going to take this boy for a long walk across a gallows trapdoor on a short leash, but then I saw the 2nd Degree Murder charge, and knew in my heart that meant this asshole was only gonna die of coronary infarction, sitting on his fat ass in a taxpayer funded hotel room with bars.

It's a damn shame they can't commute his life sentence to death.  If you're already serving life for one capital crime and you're found guilty of another, you shouldn't get the luxury of a second life sentence.
