Sunday Showers
« on: May 17, 2009, 07:21:19 AM »
Getting the stuff up here, cool and rainy this morning--a perfect day to make biscuits and gravy for breakfast.  Already started the beef stew for tonight.  High of 61 after the rain tapers off around noon.

Got all the yard work done yesterday, and also got all the rust/silt out of the water lines.  Guess there's not as much water in the well as I first thought, and had to swap out the filter as well.  Damn the bad luck.

What's new with ya'll today?

Expected high of 99 degrees today.  That is rather warm.  No real plans other than going to church today.

I hear that, considering the all-time high for this town is 101.

51 and sunny right now, with a high of 65 today. We had to put an extra blanket on the bed last night, but kept the windows open.  Really nice sleeping weather.

Cool today..high of 60ish.  Both boys need haircuts (which we never got to yesterday), and both boys have baseball practice for the tournaments teams they are playing on.  Not sure about the rain chances today...it keeps changing!

In the 50's today and sunny.  Kicking back right now. Day O' Rest and all that.

Also sorta waiting to see if my wife's wierd lower left abdominal pain is going to need to meet a Doctor later today.

It's threatening to storm here, and I have to be at work at 4:30.. :censored:

Been playing on Facebook most of the morning, adding new folks to my friends' list and certain Zynga game applications (Vampire Wars, anyone? Fun game, that one, and very tough trying to keep my skill rating up without some little fledgling vampire trying to knock it down).

Picked up lunch (Mardi Gras chicken wings from Publix and a small container of grapes and apples).  Now to hang out until work beckons me.

I need 3 more facebook friends to break 100.

Warm here, I'm headed to the pool, then I will stop at my mom's and grill out for us.

Friend of mine on Facebook confessed that she hosted a "Foot Rubbing Contest" among her kids for extra Sunday treats.  Results?   "Who cares", she says; "I got 1 1/2 hours of foot massaging".

No real plans other than going to church today.

I meant to head to goto church today, but slept in.  :(

I pretty much had a leisurely sunday, cleaned around the house, grocery shopping, worked in the garage, washed the car, cleaned up after the pets, and watched some races on Speed today.

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

Hmmmm, I added three new friends, but others have dropped off....now I am down to 95!

I wonder if some of my friends in the ministry found themselves offended by my unusal quiz answers?

My first pick for "things you don't leave the house with" was heroin.  :-)
