Father calls cops on adult son, member of the Bedford school board, for refusing his chores
Quote
"I know this looks bad," said School Board member Andrew Mizsak, who lives with his parents and also works as an independent political consultant. His mother, Paula, is a Bedford councilwoman.

Mizsak's dad, also Andrew, called 9-1-1 on Thursday after his son threw a plate of food across the kitchen table and balled his fist up at his dad when told to clean his room.

The senior Mizsak, 63, wouldn't press charges and told police, "I don't want to ruin his political career."

According the report, "Andrew was sent to his room to clean it. He was crying uncontrollably and stated he would comply."

Yet another example of why politicians make lousy, lousy leaders. This guy lives with his parents and doesn't pay a dime, including property (school levy) taxes, yet he has a voice on how a large, costly school district is run. He sounds like the second coming of Dennis Kucinich, and we all see what a mess that's been.

 :lmao: AWESOME!

Guy must be a dem since the resident dems commenting already have their knickers in a twist at what is to come..lmao: this guy must be a dem that they are doubting the accuracy of the police report or the reporting of what happened.  :-)

Wow, this report is ridiculous. I'm going to have to see the police report for my own eyes to see these statements. I can't see these statements being on a police report, nor coming from a father talking about his son. "Crying uncontrollably?" That cop must be an aspiring writer.

Tragedy that this domestic dispute happened, but either this is a terrible article, or that police report is a work of art.

Now insert all the political hack comments, I'll start the Mad Lib:

Noun: Democrat
Place: Cuyahoga County
Person: Jimmy Dimora
Verb: Ruin
Adjective: Corrupt

Now go and put your political garbage up here. I think this police report should be sold at Borders if these statements are on there.

Yeah, he's a Dem.  On his MySpace blog he lists Stephanie Tubbs Jones as someone he admires and looks up to.

the comments at the bottom are priceless, Chris. The resident dems have their knickers in the twist and are defending him :rotf:

On another post, he mentions deciding against running for some recently-empty House or Senate through the Democratic party.  His entire blog is news articles that mention him, with the "relevant" parts blown up to a 20-point font.

Does every topic have to turn into a political discussion?

The people of the greater Cleveland area found it relevant to the discussion.

Laugh if you want, but as long as I stayed at home I was expected to do certain things in exchange for the 'free' room and board....no amount of money would have bought me lodging there.

My daddy always said, "As long as you stick your feet under my table, you'll do what I ask." Sounds like this DUmmie wasn't ever informed of that rule when he was young.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Ah, but that goes both ways.  Turning the tables can certainly be fun, if not entertaining.  Imagine the look on your parents faces the first time you tell them, "My house, my rules!"
“Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.”  -Henry Ford
