For me, portion control is the best and not denying a craving. Anytime I can't feed the craving, I will eat everything else instead and still end up eating the craving.
Eat dessert for breakfast....gives the whole day to work it off. Besides, think of all the food groups that can be covered in dessert! Oatmeal raisin cookies are great, so is pound cake with some strawberries.

Read the carb/sodium counts on a low fat item......one of those prepared dinners can have 3 or 4 DAYS of normal sodium intake. Carbs and sodium are especially high in low fat dinners, salad dressings, etc....have to replace those fat grams with something.
I eat something every couple of hours or less. Raw carrots, slice of cheese, red grapes, cashews, M&M's or lately I've been on a frozen mini York peppermint patties, are my afternoon snacks. I don't usually eat after dinner, except for right after dinner I will have a 'Skinny Cow' ice cream sandwich - 100 calories. They are low fat, but it tastes more like ice milk if anyone remembers what that is, I just like the way they taste.
Better to not give up anything....just reduce the amount.
