May Sunday
« on: May 03, 2009, 07:08:37 AM »
Where's all this warm weather we were supposed to be having?  We have ONE day of heat and it's back to lows in the 30's?  WTF?

High of 65 today, lots of clouds.  At least I can get the lawn cleared out and reseeded/refertilized.  Might not be a bad idea to put the tomato plants out into the garden finally.  Just have to get some stakes or cages at some point.

70 and sunny here today.

The Ortho kicked in and all those bastid dandelions are dead and dying in the front yard, which means the torch and pitchfork Lawn Nazi brigade on the cul de sac might be mollified for a bit.

At least until the Garden Gnome House Of Horrors opens in late May here. :-)

I may take my eldest to see Wolverine today.

Hmmmm..interesting.  I'm debating as when to refertilize and reseed the lawn.  Given the fact it's not raining much this week, I'll likely wait until next weekend.  That'll make for a fun Sunday next time around--rake, reseed/fertilize, and plant the tomatoes/strawberries/herbs outside.

The grass was cut on Monday here; after three days of rain (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), and now much sunshine, it looks as if the grass has to be cut again tomorrow (Monday).

Rain Rain and more Rain today.  Baseball practice was cancelled.  Got the house cleaned up (even the little stuff that I hate to do) and now I'm watching the Cubbies play ball.

Working on various lists: what I need on the trip tp Alabama, things Mr Flame needs to remember while I'm gone, a list of stuff for Mr Flame to get for middle child's birthday (which I'm going to miss  :bawl:), etc.  It's going to be an interesting week!

I took my mother on a mother's day celbration a week early.

Showed up with her card and gifts, then we headed off to the arena to watch the rodeo. Seen the calf roping. Then the park next to the arena was having a Cinco de Mayo celebration. Seen a kid about six or seven years old singing...he was very good, I have no idea what he was singing (it was in spanish) but it sounded good. I had some killer steak tacos, the price was right, $1 each...washed down with a huge glass of horcheta that was also a buck...

Her hands have been killing her so off to the grocery store, I bought her about $90 in food. Got that back to her house and unloaded then we took a ride outside of town, and I bought her dinner....I'm still stuffed.

I think we both had a pretty good day. The weather was perfect.

I have clothes in the dryer, and finally after 48 hours my migrane is gone, that pretty much sucked, it was really bad.

Still no word on that Mercedes coupe.  I'm just not impressed with the E30 anymore.  That 280CE is a sexy beast.

:( want to have :( 4-doors need not apply...

Speaking of Craigslist. Today in the "general" section there was a baby up for sale, $200. Police are investigating

I'm still up. ripping people to shreds on Space Wars, a Facebook application.  I just had someone place the very first bounty on me.  I'm a vicious lil mercenary (you can be one of 3 professions: mercenary, trader, and freelancer).  :evillaugh:
