Heat Wave Monday
« on: April 20, 2009, 09:11:25 AM »
Well, it is back to work today.  The forecast is a scorching 97 degrees.

We have a bunch of current and potential clients coming to the office tomorrow, so I'll be spending some time today making sure that my cubicle is neat and organized, with nothing that could potentially expose client information out in view.  Lets hope that this will get us some more clients, and some more money  :cheersmate:

TOTD:  What does your workspace look like.  Do you work best with complete organization, organized chaos, or complete chaos  :-)

My cubicle is organized, but sometimes it looks cluttered because I prefer to have things that are important or that I use frequently in plain sight, so today I'm going to actually put to use the filing cabinet they gave me for my files.  Blech.

I am fastidious in my work space.  OCD-type.  I'm that way about everything in my eyesight.  The drawers can be junky as all get out and I don't care.....that must say something about my character.  Does that mean I am superficial?  I have to go lie down now.

Mine's a disaster! I am in dire need of rearranging and have bought stuff to help with organization.

Now I just have to find the time to spend a day (or two :censored:) doing it!!!

Lost a set of pics from a driveby...so M has left to go retake them for me...he's such a sweetie! Still have 3 reports to get done.

It's rainy and poopy out, but the sun occasionally is peaking through...we are supposed to have rain until Wednesday I think.....my new little flower plants and bushes are so excited!!! :bouncy:
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

43 degrees here today.  Kind of the opposite of a heatwave, :(

Topping out at 51, was 28 this morning.

Workspace, for lack of a better word, looks kinda like a bomb hit it--but not quite that organized.

cooling down already...sigh...but its spring so cooldowns are short lived. Rainy and everything is beautifully green between the alternating rain and sun that April brings.

I'm alternating between resume writing, glancing here, and cleaning. Have a good job prospect with a good work going in. WOOT!

My desk is typically an organized disaster area.   :uhsure:

Not a great day here.  Went to see my favorite ortho doc this morning and he stuck a huge needle in my elbow. OUCH!   :censored:  I'll probably go home early and ice it down.

Just ate some grilled hamburgers and going to the golf course in a minute. Got some adjustments to make on some firearms later. Looks like the warm-up is about to hit here. Highs in the mid 80's by Wednesday.  :cheersmate:

Lousy freaking day here.  Up all night, now I'm just drained.   Rainy at leasy, and all activities are cancleed for tonight, so at least I don't have to muster up much energy.

My workspace needs to be clutter free....drives me nuts having stuff laying around.

Wonderful, warm day today! High 80's to the low 90's predicted, but back to the 60's this weekend and possible rain. :(

Today is our 13th anniversery, so I'm going to do a cedar plank BBQ'd salmon w/ a dill sauce, veggies and rice. I'm going to go look for a nice NZ Sauvignon Blanc to go with it.

My daughter got up at 4:00am (wife called to tell me when) to hang hearts from the ceiling and a banner she made for us in our living room. I got to wake up to this before I went to work this morning................................................................damn kid.......... :bawl:................. :-*

TOTD:  What does your workspace look like.  Do you work best with complete organization, organized chaos, or complete chaos  :-)

We had a dreary and overcast sky, with a high temperature of 53 degrees.  Accompanied by rain, rain, and more rain.  I believe it's just now fizzling down to a few sprinkles.

I spent much of day pouring over meeting notes from the previous week in preparation for future actions.  Enjoyed some leisure reading and a lunch time siesta.  Played with some electrical testing thingamabobs after lunch.  Made it home and practiced teaching a parrot how to dance, when he tried 'feeding' me, much to my dismay.

As for the TOTD.  My work place is the epitome of chaos, with materials and supplies scattered about and in multiple locations.  I work best with everything organized, clearly marked, and properly maintained.  Unfortunately, I'm working out of a temporary location, which doesn't allow me to have any level of organization.  Argh   :banghead:

We hit 94 today and the rest of the week is going to be just as warm, if not warmer.

TOTD: It's usually pretty organized due to the nature of the business. Unorganization could result in the death of a patient.

You guys are so screwed come July. :-)  The last time I saw a thermometer that read over 110°, it was in the middle of an asphalt parking lot.  It was at least 15 degrees cooler outside of that area.

TOTD: They make me put my stuff away in a locker when I leave my desk, so it always look the same day after day.  Bo-ring. :(
My personal desk at home is littered with beer cans and library books and gets swept clean once a month.
