Woman sues for $160m over wax mishap

A woman is suing for $160 million claiming suffered second and third degree burns because she scalded herself on a box of hair remover.

Carmen Canas says the hot wax's manufacturers are liable because the box did not provide proper heating instructions for the product.

She said she was scalded by hot wax that overflowed from the Sally Hansen container as she attempted to remove it from her microwave nearly three years ago.

The 38-year-old from New Jersey in the US claims Sally Hansen and Del Lab are negligent in the designing of the container.

She claims she was rushed to hospital where she was given morphine to ease the pain of the second and third-degree burns she sustained on her lower back, breast, and right thigh.  ...

I can see that one might sustain burns to the hand or even to the front of one's body from an overflowing container, but the lower back? It would have been a volcano.

She was removing hair from her breasts and lower back?  She must be one hairy gal...perhaps a Sasquatch?

I can see this.

A lot of people have micro waves mounted above the stove.

It's at about eye level, so if you were pulling something out and it spilled on the hand and you lost it it could slosh over your shoulder onto your back.

Build a man a fire and he will be warm for awhile.
Set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life...
