Wednesday, tea party day
« on: April 15, 2009, 06:25:08 AM »
Today's the day, and it's going to be warm and sunny.

At least out here in the Sandhills of Nebraska; clear skies, and temperatures circa an even 70 degrees F.

We're having a tea party here--perhaps the smallest tea party in America today--and I'll report on it when it's over.

I am off today and I am looking to see if there are any local tea parties in my area. I am not having much luck. Any websites that would have them listed? Google turned up nada.

There was a link to a list of tea parties posted here, but damn, I can't find it.

I found links to tea party slogans and all that, but not the list of places that are having one.

I had seen it when it was originally posted, and the list looked damned good to me.

But now I can't find it; all I'm finding are links to slogans, not places.

I went over to freerepublic, but damn, there was a site posted here, too.

I found this:

http://taxdayteaparty.com/

Caution, however--there's lots and lots of lists, and not all tea parties are on all lists.

But I hope this helps.

Found something that might help. Tax Day Tea Part. On the right, choose your state for a list of places and times.

Beat me by 5 seconds. LOL

That's an okay list, but the link posted here to another schedule showed more of them.

Damn.

Now we all know why I'm lousy at googling; I can't even find something posted on this site.

Wet, rainy, cloudy and blah here again today.  No tea party close to me, and can't face driving into DC today.

From 1500 miles away, I'll do a primitive thing and have you here at ours "in spirit."

But please submit some healing white light, to make it easier.

That'll work.

At least the primitives think it would.

I'll send white light and positive vibes...maybe I'll burn some sage or something, too.  Or is it wool in a little container thingy?  Those moonbat rituals get me all confused!

I'll be attending the Phoenix Tea Party this evening. I'll take some pics and post them afterward. I'm hoping to catch an ACORN moonbat on film!  :evillaugh:

I am having a major mental block on getting these reports done! Been working on them since last week and I have a 48 hr turnaround  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:.

On the bright side, I have a closing this afternoon which will put cash paper money into my hand tomorrow. Thanks be to God!!!!!

STILL gloomy here today, it was supposed to be nice. I'm growing webs between my toes and turning a bit green...just call me Kermetta. :-) But there's hope....the sun is to come out tomorrow....tomorrow ...tomorrow... :hyper:

I'll have to live vicariously through those who are attending a Tea Party, so I expect photos!  :p

That little "problem" I mentioned in the Tuesday thread... well, it popped this morning, and I'm in pain, so no Savannah Tea Party for me.  :(

I'll do my best!

I have two signs:

Revolution--Now that's stimulating!
Defending freedom is American not extremist!

It's the best I could come up with. I hope they are okay.

Those are some good slogans... I was planning on something like "I Refuse To Be The Government's ATM."   :lmao:

There is a large group forming in a parking lot near a busy highway here.

I am headed to work though, but glad to see them.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
