Today I received a letter from the IRS that my 2007 tax returns are being audited. Less than one month after launching TaxCheatStamps.com.

There's a list of "proposed changes" they want to make to my 2007 return that would require me to pay almost $14,000 in taxes, penalties, and interest. All the "discrepancies" they list are bogus and I have documentation to prove it. I keep meticulous records and always pay every cent I owe to Uncle Sam. We're going to talk to a lawyer ASAP.

Sadly it is not really a surprise.  :(  Added to which he has blown his chances of a cabinet appointment by provably paying his taxes.

I guess that this just proves that some people ARE Party material - by emulating the Commissars up in Washington Barackopolis - and some people aren't.

hope this guy has a good legal defense fund, prevails in the audit, and goes on to sue Geitner. 0bama would get embarrassed in the process.

I think it was on a rerun of Glenn Beck last night that I saw an interview with someone talking about how the Clintons had almost all of their "enemies" audited.  They mentioned Paula Jones I think it was.  She was making $30,000 a year, and she got audited.  The odds of that happening "naturally" where worse then the odds of being struck by lightning 3 times.

I think Bill O'Reilly was audited many times during the Clinton years. I think we'll see more of the same under 0Bama.
