Aw no WAY!One of the single best cinematic moments evah!
R.E.M.'s entire album "Automatic for the People" but most especially "Everybody Hurts."I went on vacation in the UK Jan 2000. Okay, so (bouncy alert!)we were up in Glasgow at this nice hostel. There were 5 other girls (plus me and my friend) in this one room(Really? Do tell... with pictures please. ). These two girls that were staying in the bunk bed directly across from me and my friend decided to go out and party it up at a pub and bring back company. Two of the other girls were sick with the flu. Okay so everyone minus these two girls are asleep when they come back with the guys they picked up. The room is dark and when you open the door there was a blinding light from the hall. One girl and guy leave and the other two get into the bunk bed. They're on the bottom bunk. They start going at it, but they're quiet, so I'm just hoping they're done with everything soon and can go back to bed. One girl starts coughing and you hear the one (I'll refer to her as Skank 1) says to her boy "oh they're waking up" and they stop.Great!Until Skank 2 comes back. They were in the shower, she's only wearing a towel and you can tell her hair's wet. I remember thinking "Oh god, I hope they did it in there and will just go to sleep." Of course not.So they hop up to the top bunk. Now, these weren't super fancy bunk beds, they were metal, so anytime you moved there was a light squeaking. Well they start at it. I can hear her eastern European accent "Oh yes, oh yes." I reach down and pull my diskman out of my back pack and turn it on just to cover up the sound. What was I listening to earlier in the day? REM's "Automatic for the People". That's one damn quiet album. I got to "Everybody Hurts" and every time he slowed down or paused in the song I could hear "Oh yes" Squeak! "OH YES!" "SQUEAK!"Every time I hear that song that night always comes to mind. (Meh. Never mind about those pictures)
How can we go through this entire thread and no one mention how "Viva Las Vegas" is permanently ruined for everyone by the Viagra commercials? And, yes, the swiffer commercials have toasted "Baby come back." I can finally listen to "Anticipation" after it NOT being used by ketchup ads for 10 years or so.

A song by Johnny Paycheck. Somthing about a bar fight (?) guy losing an ear or some such sh#t. A buddy of mine played it over, and over, and over......on a straight through drive to Tuscon from Sacramento, Ca.
