Again, why do the lefties care if they get Republican support? They have cut enough out of the Senate bill that there probably won't be a filibuster against it. So even if few Republicans vote for it, it will pass. Let the Dems take full credit for it. If it works, and they pull us back from the brink, great for them, I might even start voting Dem in the future. If it goes all wrong, oh well, expect to get beaten to death with it.

The lefties want Repub support, so that when this "stimulus" fails, as I assure you you it will, they can point fingers at the Republicans and won't have to take sole responsibility for it with the American public.
