Please note that I do not condone what McNabb did here.   It was stupid, cost his team a 3rd and 1, and he will probably get fined big for it.

(they're gonna have a tough time with the Steelers, though....)

Assuming they get past 'em though, I see another Ravens Superbowl win....the Iggles don't have a chance against them.

You all know that Red's wife is a die-hard Ravens' fan right?

Ravens vs Eagles....November 23, 2008....let's see if I remember these highlights correctly.....

McNabb, who tossed two interceptions and lost a fumble, was benched at halftime after completing eight of 18 throws for 59 yards.

Kolb....yeah, nothing much to say there.

Ravens blocked a punt for a safety.

Mark Clayton ran back a 53 yard catch, untouched, for a touchdown.

And of course who could forget Reed's interception in the end zone and sprinting for an NFL record 108 yards for a touchdown to put the game out of reach.

Ahhhhhh, good times, good times.

Hon, once the Eagles win the Superbowl, do you think we could spring for a nice display case for my autographed McNabb mini-helmet?  :-)  :-*

I think the Ravens' D can make quick work of Concussion Ben.  The Steelers have mastered the art of playoff choking to such a degree that they could go on tour with the Yankees were it not for their one title.

ETA:  plus I'm pissed the Steelers spoiled my all-underdog card.  I hope they get creamed.

The way I see it now, the Steelers look like they can go all the way. They played a hell of a game last night.

Do you have to check your gun at the gate?

I don't have to check my gun at the gate because I am not stupid enough to pay $120 (that's the cheap seat!) for a ticket to see the Cards choke, which is what I suspect might happen on Sunday.

I'll watch them choke from the comfort of my recliner instead. It's free and I get to keep my gun close by.  :-)

The NFL got screwed this weekend.  The Cardinals are the turd in the punchbowl, and the only team with any real viewership beyond their region is the Steelers.  If the Cards get in the SB, who cares?  It's the Cards.  The Eagles playing the Ravens would create a lot of excitement in the 90 miles between the two cities, and the Steelers playing the Eagles is the Pennsylvania Bowl.

.

I do think Cards/Ravens would be kind of cool because you have the veteran QB against the rookie QB.

But I don't much care either way. I just like to watch the train wreck that is the Superbowl unfold...no matter who is playing.  :-)

Ya gonna shoot your TV when Warner reverts to his Captain Interception ways?

FWIIW, I was at the SB in Atlanta for the pinnacle of The Greatest Show On Turf when and right across the field at the loge level when Bruce caught the winning touchdown.

After that they fell helplessly apart.

Could be.

I want to clarify for my friends on here who are from Phoenix that it has nothing to do with your city.  A little too hot there for me personally, but I like Arizona, the State is full of much natural beauty, and have enjoyed Phoenix everytime I've been there.  I like Flagstaff and Sedona better, but Phoenix was OK.

When you got the Cards from St. Louis, I really felt bad for the city, not becuase you got an NFL franchise because you definately deserved one, but because you didn't get your own team, you got the Cards.  Sorry, Phoenix residents, they're still the stinkin' Cards.

Oh, we know! True Phoenicians are making fun of the overnight Cardinals fans these days. True Phoenicians would die a little inside if they bought any kind of Cardinals apparel. :evillaugh:

I'm going to a friends house to watch the game. He said, "Wear your team colors!" I said I'll be there with my Sedona Red, Tan, and Black (Diamondbacks) on.  :-)

FWIIW -- I will be rooting for AZ.  I *despise* Philly -- a bunch of Oakland wannabees.  When your fans' claim to fame is throwing DC batteries encased in snowballs and make the Oakland fans look tame, then you have entered the asshole zone.  If I had to actually lay money down, I would bet on the assholes. But I ain't betting next cycle and am hoping Warner learned from the last few years.

And, FWIIW, Baltimore is the stupider version of Philly -- arrogant bullies who take as many cheap shots as they can and who get away with a lot.  All the class and grace of Leon Spinks.

Well, yeah, but it's the Playoffs....Pittsburgh may actually have to cross the goal line to score a touchdown this time.

Meh this coming from a guy who's city cant sustain a NFL franchise.

Only Overconfidence can beat the Eagles this weekend. The Eagles are 3 point favs. The Cards are going to go against a good D this weekend and if Mcnabb shows up its over for the cards
