Yeah, it certainly is. Another Clinton year for us.
Ah, no.

These people are figureheads.  Their input in their respective positions (except for maybe mrs. clinton) will be summarily ignored.  the nre fuhrer's eminence grice handlers will be calling the shots.  These clintonistas are so happy to have the positions and the trappings of power they will happily sit in the chairs in the meeting rooms while soros, ayers and wright call the shots.

The Clinton Administration inner circle moving back into the whitehouse.  Any more coincidental appointments and I'm beginning to smell a "puppet" Presidency.  Wonder what kinda back room agreements/threats brought this about..

I thought the same thing yesterday when I heard this -- total joke appointment.   Panetta is completely unqualified for this job.

It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

Quote
Other Democrats were also throwing their support behind Panetta.

Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., said Panetta brings fresh leadership to the intelligence community.

"Leon Panetta has a long and distinguished career in public service and there are few people of whom I have a higher opinion," he said in a written statement.

"He has been a strong voice opposing the interrogation practices authorized by the Bush administration and he is well-equipped to restore our national security, which has been undermined by the current administration's policies," he added.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Silvestre Reyes, D-TX, called the Panetta pick "sensible and said that he was "time-tested" and "highly qualified.

"His ability to build coalitions and work across all elements of government will make him a good partner for the Director of National Intelligence," he said in a written statement.

Anyone remember how Clinton's idiots at CIA gutted the agency?

This jackass is going to make them look like skilled intel pros.

What does a dweeb like this do the first day on the job? Saunters in at a little after 9 a.m., has his coffee and chitchat while they sweep him through security.

Then, after a couple of introductory meetings with the people who really DO make things happen at CIA, he is relegated to his office in relative isolation.

The CIA know how to deal with this idiot. Like a mushroom, they'll keep him in the dark and feed him bullshit. That will leave Panetta time to figure out how to make himself look useful and on top of things.

NRO thinks Obama wants him there as a confident to protect his ass and nothing more.    He is grossly unqualified for the position, but he will do well as Obama's yes man.

Not good.

Not good.

Basically, what that means is when things go to sh!t, because of an intelligence failure at the CIA, Obama will be tossing another body,(and Clinton crony), under the already crowded bus.  This will also give Der Fuhrer one more reason to establish his National Citizen Security Force.

Ammo.  Lots and Lots of ammo.

I don't think any of us have enough ammo for how ****ed we're going to be over the next 4 years.

I actually respect the man, particularly for his standing up for civil rights against adversity during the Nixon administration.  Unfortunately, that's not necessarily an ideal attribute or qualification to be the head of the CIA.

I'm always hesitant and a bit aghast when non-career intelligence persons are appointed to that position.  He has limited military experience, albeit it was apparently in the intelligence field.  However his decades of political experience, including being Clintons Chief of Staff, may offer some benefits.  I don't know.

From a resume stand point, I'd consider him as qualified as Bush senior was.  Possibly more so, arguably.  I don't know.  Prayers be with him and regardless... we should all buy ammo  :(

Essentially what this means is all the folks we depend on overseas to tell us what is really going on where it matters have just decided that discretion is probably the better part of valor.  They won't be giving us anything we can use, just what we want to hear, and probably what their masters want us told.

This is going to be a very scary four years.

Someone told me he was before, but I thought she was joking at the time. I agree with DiFi here, this choice is just awful,

Papa Bushs resume was just a tad deeper & Broader than Panetta's. Both were in the house but Bush also has Chief of the U.S. Liaison Office to the People's Republic of China & United States Ambassador to the United Nations. I'd say that's just a tad broader than being WH chief of Staff.

I heard he doesn't like Gitmo, but is a strong advocate for rendition.  He may just be ok .
