Conservative Leader Paul Weyrich Dies; First to Lead Heritage
Paul M. Weyrich, chairman and CEO of the Free Congress Foundation and first president of The Heritage Foundation, died this morning around 1 a.m. He was 66 years old. Weyrich was a good friend to many of us at Heritage, a true leader and a man of unbending principle. He won Heritage’s prestigious Clare Boothe Luce Award in 2005.

"Now many of our Christians have what I call the goo-goo syndrome — good government. They want everybody to vote. I don't want everybody to vote. Elections are not won by a majority of people, they never have been from the beginning of our country and they are not now. As a matter of fact, our leverage in the elections quite candidly goes up as the voting populace goes down."
And now, I dance on his grave. I'll do some pissing when I have the urge. Gladly. Happily.
Blah blah blah.
You know, I thought the Obama win would make them all happy people. They'd drink water, get sleep, eat vegetables, get their meds refilled, and move along with life. I think the self-hatred and outrage will only grow, though, which means I'm going to have a lot of fun watching the self-immolation.
