I saw those on the menu, and they looked tasty.  I'll try them on my next trip. :)

I spoiled myself a bit today, and got the most expensive sub on the menu. :uhsure:  A large prime rib cheesesteak on wheat bread.  I ate half of it, and the other half is in the fridge for later.  I also got some salt & vinegar chips and a root beer to compliment it.  Whoever invented that flavor of potato chips should be ashamed.  I'm an addict now. :(

Girl, so true!!  Those things are yummy :)

Oh, the turkey sammie is great!  It's turkey, pepper jack cheese and chipotle sauce!  OMG!  Heaven in your mouth!

The Snowman
an original short story
by
Schadenfreude

Once upon a time in the cold tundra otherwise known as Frankensota, there was a snowman.

On the inside he felt like he was 8 ft tall.

But truth be told..... he was only 8 inches.

The End.   :rotf:

Oh, I'll definitely try that one.  They're listed at 2 dollars each, so I may try 3 different sammies the next time around. :) I just wish the Quiznos on campus was open right now, instead of me having to leave for an off-campus location.

Oh the turkey sammie is the bestest!

So far I've done 12 cards in 2 hours.  These are the people that I really think and try to come up with a personal greeting inside, so that's why it's taking me forever.

Once I get to the co-workers it's just "Merry Christmas!"  LOL!

I'll hide this picture in here.... this will be our Christmas card picture.

I can't begin to tell you all how my son's smile makes me feel inside. It has been a long two years.  :thatsright:

I am making bangers and mash for the kids tonight with some steamed corn as a side dish.  We are eating a sympathy meal for Mom who is ill and had to eat hotel room service in Leeds, England.

I would make bubble and squeek for them but that sounds too much like a digestive disorder and I rejected it out of hand

Nope.  trying to fight off a nasty cold. :(  Will probably head to bed within the next couple of hours.  I don't want to take the NyQuil now! "(After taking it,  I had a nice buzz going last night and then.... BAM... I was gone (fast asleep, I mean).  I'll wait a little longer and eat the rest of the sub sandwich first.

LOL!  Well, now I see why they actually card people when any cold medicines like NyQuil are purchased.    :o     I got carded when I bought the NyQuil last night.   :lmao:

It might be a state-by-state situation.  I know that here in Georgia, if you're not over 18, you can't buy NyQuil or anything similar.  They also limit how much you can purchase, given that a few years back, some people were purchasing large quantities to make meth.

I'll get better soon...the whole pharmacy is in my apartment (NyQuil, nasal spray, cough drops, ear drops).  :p

No idea when I'll be back up.  The houses at the bottom of my road were up last night as I was coming home, but sadly, I wasn't.  All those brightly lit X-Mas trees in the window, only to have the dark resume about 1/2 a mile from the house--call me cynical, but that kinda smacked me like a big, "**** You" right in the face.  Oh well.

Governor Lynch, useless bag of turds he be, told us not to expect our power back soon.  Gee, thanks.  PSNH guys are telling me that some of the infrastructure has to be completely rebuilt.  Parts of some towns might not see power back for TWO weeks.  Washington, NH is still completely in the dark because nobody can get through the roads.  As the ice melts, the trees snap back into position which has the possibility of taking out MORE power lines.

My generator is a 6000-watt job that takes care of the well pump, furnace, microwave, refrigerator, and a few lights.  So no hot water, and no tee-vee, computer, laundry, or stove.  But even so, I've gone from about 18-20 gallons on Thursday to about 5-7 gallons today.  Time to find some gas on the way home.  Freezer and refrigerator stuff still goes bad because even if the house is 50 degrees, the fridge wants to head there too.

Here's a link to some pics folks have sent in:

A tornado hit my town Monday night. One area, three houses were destroyed. Power lines to the area were down.  That area had their power back on Wednesday. (The houses that weren't destroyed.)

:rotf:  I have a habit of having (and a lot of the time, starting) strange and random conversations with people, both online and off... for instance, a friend of mine, who is also the vice-chairman of our student organization, called me randomly one night recently to ask why I'd thrown a snow-ball at him over Facebook.   that turned into an argument, then a strange conversation ensued. :p    Jeff is an oddball...I'll have to invite him here.  He'd fit in nicely with the rest of you. hehehe.  (a warning: If he shows up, y'all be nice: he just turned 21  :p :evillaugh: ).

Keep using it.  You'll find out what "habit forming" means.

:whatever:  I won't be using it for more than a few days, and have only used it when I absolutely had to have it.  Only problem I have with it is that its more than cured the problem.  It's making my nose RUN (I swear, if I hear one more "go catch it" joke.... :jerkit: )  I've used the name-brand version before, and never got addicted.  *shrugs*

It's that NyQuil/DayQuil I need to be careful with.   :uhsure:
