Spent the early part of my morning observing a 7th grade science class, yippee.  Then I went to the Verizon store, where I procedded to get my daughte'rs phone exchanged for a new one, since the old one kept shutting off at random times.

Now I'm resisting the urge to take a nap, and tonight is Nutcracker tickets sales again.


Oh, I met my daughter's new "man" this weekend.  He took her to a movie (his parents were there, too), and I took the boys to see antoehr movie while we waited.  Then we ran into him and his parents at Walmart on Sunday, and spent probably 30 minutes chatting with them (the kids wandered off to look at their own stuff).  Nice enough folks.  And he goes to a different High School than my daughter, so contact is limited to when we aprrove it.

On a better note, my son couldn't be prouder of himself after this weekend.  Saturday we (all three of us) made a trip down to the Gun Club in Loveland.  I finally got to try out the new XD I bought the weekend before (shoots just about like the other XD I own, except I think the 5" absorbs recoil even better than the 4" does), and because he's been more openly curious about my new pistol than he has been about any of my others, I stood him up on a chair on the firing line, helped him get his hands settled on the grip just right (and wrapped my big ol' ham hocks around those tiny mitts of his to help him control the pistol), and then let him fire off rounds at the ICE "bad guy" target down range.  He was so excited, he had me call the target in after each round he touched off, so he could see where he had "shot the bad guy".  He put about 7 rounds downrange before he was satisfied (and he ran out of attention span).  That target he perforated is now hanging on the back of his bedroom door, and all he could talk about at church yesterday was how he "shot the bad guy".  Enough to melt an old bastard's heart.  (That's my boy!)

Sorry to hear your wife is ill!!  Hopefully she will feel better soon :)

This just in:

I have received my Holiday Week orders.

-Wife works today - off rest of week

-Grocery shop tomorrow morning.  Big turkey, etc. (with wife)

-Pick up Little Angel from school at 1:15 tomorrow

-Little Angel's dad and SO arrive tomorrow night

-Nothing special on Wednesday

-Thursday - get up early and go to daughter's house in Kaufman County.  Wife, etc. will cook feast

-Little Angel's dad and SO leave after dinner - back to OK.

-Friday - Wife, Little Angel and I drive to Norman.  Little Angel stays with her dad.  We stay in hotel; visit casino  

-Saturday - drive home with Little Angel in tow  

-Sunday - wife leaves for Houston.  I take Little Angel back to her mother

Good Morning All! :)

There's a couple of inches of snow on the ground and it is 32 degrees with 10 degrees of wind chill.

My wife is off work all this week and she got the kids to school and let me sleep in till 9:30. :-)  To quote the cereal Tiger, I feel GRRRRRRRRReat!!!!

Pulled the turkey out of the freezer to start it thawing for Thursday and will probably go do a little shopping today.
Working on my second cup of coffee right now.  We wound up staying up till all hours watching the first disk of Angel Season 1. Last time she had a huge chunk of vacation we worked our way through all 7 seasons of Buffy.

Yeah I've heard it's a really good show!  I like mostly everything Joss Whendon creates!

Watched the entire "Firefly" series after I saw Serenity.  I wish they had kept that show around.

Anyway, not on nights anymore, got a wakeup call at 4PM yesterday saying good job, pump is back up and running, see you at 7 tomorrow (Monday) morning.

So because I got NO sleep last night, I'm a friggin zombie today.  Sleep tonight.  Sleep LOTS tonight.

He's got a new series coming out any day now called "Dollhouse" starring Eliza Dushku. It looks pretty kick ass!

I am retarded for everything the guy has done.  When I saw Serenity in the theaters it was like seeing Star Wars when I was a kid.  I ran out and got the Firefly set the next day.

They are not big on payouts. They are more of an "entertainment"-type establishment that rakes in your money. Newcastle Casino is up Highway 9 about 7 or 8 miles and they payout more frequently.

Wowie! :o I may have you beat there. My mother is British, so at least when it's only me or my daughter around, nudity from the bath to the bed is not an issue.  :o

Ok, I'm done with my tales of woe...I actually laugh about that last one..I'm afraid I am no better then her in that regard anyway.  :lmao:
