Sunday.
« on: November 09, 2008, 11:51:04 AM »
I slept for 12 hours.

Went to bed at 10:30 and woke up same, same.

I had no idea how short I had been running.

Family stuffs to welcome home the Mom here today.  Maybe going out for lunch or sumthin.

I have a big porky roast thawing for dinner tonight.

I have to go into work today, but only for 5 hours. I'm doing laundry right now and I've already been to church this morning.

A nice, relaxing Sunday. :)

Cool and cloudy....the predicted sunny Sunday....looks like it could rain.

M made a nice breakfast...ham, eggs and biscuits. I've been catching up on reading here and at milnet. Thinking about putting on a pot of chili afterwhile. And I'm determined to finish my book today. Also need to run and do a couple of driveby shootings for 2 reports due by 10 in the morning.
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

I went to the $5 Chinese buffet again, but they were out of spicy pork.  Dammit.  That's the only reason I go there.

I spent all day at the dance studio, doing a Basket Bingo fundraiser (never heard of one before I moved here, but they are crazy about them).  Got there at 9:30, and just got home about 7:00.  Poor kiddo is still there, as she had class with the "master choreographer" from 4-whenever.  They are setting their dance for their Spring conference.

Tired.

That's what I said when I first heard about it!

It a Bingo thing...the prizes are Longaberger Baskets (Which I guess are serious collectors items around this area?) filled with various stuff, door prizes, etc.   People pay friggin $20 a ticket to come play for 20 baskets, plus we raffle more of them off, have concessions, and thing called King Tut (people pay for more chances to win up to 5 baskets).  People around here are insane about these things!

Here's the Baskets.

Interesting! I had never heard of them. I understand though why they are willing to pay $20 to win one. That's a bargain compared to some of the prices listed at the website. They must be some sturdy baskets. At least I hope so!

I don't understand the fascination with Longaberger baskets either, but to collectors, they are priceless!

When a particular style is discontinued, the value of them gets even higher.
