It's too close (in the popular vote).

One wonders what the primitives think of the Electoral College now; the primitives never liked it in past elections.

In the popular vote, this is going to be close (either way).

It's definitely no landslide, no mandate, for the Big Zero.

Less than 300K separate them in the popular vote.

Ohio is closing, but Obama just took the lead in Virginia.

in the old days it was the rural counties that took forever to come in, now its the dem counties.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

they called iowa for obama as soon as the polls closed.  that was a red state by 3,000,000 votes in 2004. :censored:

Quote
No matter who wins Tuesday's presidential election, you can be sure of one thing: The networks aren't going to hold back calling the election for Barack Obama or John McCain if either gathers the magic number of 270 electoral votes.

That means it's possible, if not altogether likely, that the presidential election could be called before polls close in the West. That happened once before, in 1980, when the election was famously called -- and conceded -- by 9 p.m. ET. But it'll be the Internet, cable and the speed of news that will be the driving factor this time.

And until "Joe Six-Pack" sees his taxes skyrocket and more welfare queens parading their "free" healthcare, gas, mortgages, etc., he's not going to get upset, and he's not going to change shit.

God I hate apathetic people.  Had just a few hundred thousand people paid attention and looked through the bullshit Obama was peddling, we wouldn't be where we are now.

Oh well, there's always 2010.

It would be nice to wake up to see that the MSM called Ohio and PA too damn early -- still have no idea how they did it.

Obama is president.   God help us all.

never mind.  3,000,000 was the national margin in 2004.  I was writing another post.  it was 1% in iowa in 2004.  thanks for the correction.

Wasn't it the WSJ who pointed out that an Obama presidency is going to look a lot like how Mass is run?

God help us all indeed.

There is one other bright spot - the Dems now OWN the financial mess. Obama better hope he can fix it, while raising employment, while giving out free money. Failure to do so will destroy him in two years.

if we get wicker and coleman, we partially offset the fact that joe lieberman and bernie saunders usually vote with the dems.  especially saunders;  he's a freaking declared socialist.
