you would think that if they knew exactly what the gameplan was, they would have been able to prevent it.  winning philly isn't the point, that's not possible.  but only counting legal votes just went out the window.

A Repeat of 2004 Philly Voter Chaos, Fraud

GOP Election Board members have been tossed out of polling stations in more than half a dozen polling stations in Philadelphia because of their party status.

A liberal judge previously ruled that court-appointed poll watchers could be NOT removed from their boards by an on-site election judge, but that is exactly what is happening.

It is the duty of election board workers to monitor and guard the integrity of the voting process.

Denying access to the minority (in this case Republican) poll watchers and inspectors is a violation of Pennsylvania state law. Those who violate the law can be punished with a misdemeanor and subjected to a fine of $1,000 and sent to prison between one month and two years.

Those on site as describing it as "pandemonium" and there may be video coming of the chaos.

They need to amend the law and disallow the votes from those polling places.  If they don't want a fair vote, then disallow all of the votes.

I hope that the McCain lawyers are on top of this.  There is no reason to not allow poll watchers.

that would presumably penalize a large number of people that merely wanted to vote, and didn't do anything wrong.  that on-site election judge is in a world of trouble, though.

We are just setting up for the riots tonight - bank on it. Hell, once I put my kids upstairs to bed at 8PM tonight, Im going to sit quietly in my den with two fire extinguishers at my side. I was able to get the day off from work specifically to protect against any mayhem.

yeah, but what happened during the time that they weren't allowed in the polling place?

GOP Observers Back In Philly Polling Places
The Philadelphia district attorney's office says it has restored Republican election observers who were kicked out of polling places.

Spokeswoman Cathie Abookire said Tuesday that the partisan disputes were compounded by a misunderstanding about the rules that govern certified election observers.

The McCain-Palin campaign complained of intimidation by Democratic election officials who were kicking Republican officials out of polling places.

Abookire said the GOP observers were allowed to go back in after a district attorney's team arrived.

She said a certified observer can go inside any polling place in Philadelphia and stay, as long as there are no more than two watchers in any polling place.
