I get absolutely furious when I hear McCain and his little pet girl talk about "Victory" in Iraq.
When ...... ***WHEN*** ...... did Obama or any other democrat call for us to 'cut and run' or otherwise leave Iraq in defeat?
When?
And further, by any definition of war, we won it to full and final completion when we hung Saddam. The Iraq 'War' is over and has been for a few years now. Since then, this has been a police action against an ever changing series of groups who have interests different from bush's.
But back to the original question:
WHAT DEMOCRAT ****EVER**** CALLED FOR US TO LEAVE IRAQ IN DEFEAT?????????????

1. Let 'em talk
The people are so sick of war and rumours of war that they are turned off by Mcwar's words. They dig their holes deeper every time. Don't let it bother you.

2. There is no way to "win" a military occupation.
Period.

3. Our mission is accomplished, so we must already be victorious
We won? Right?
But seriously, there is a group of people who think we can win this war and hold onto that thought. I've heard people say that we should spend every penny in the US, completely bankrupt us, if that's what it takes. Use nuclear weapons, whatever. It's one more way to appeal to the far right base.

4. Well, as you say, we won the war already, and it's only been an occupation for years...so how does leaving now constitute 'defeat'? They're just full of shit.

7. I become perturbed when I hear a Repub or any Dem speaking about Iraq without IDENTIFYING it as an illegal occupation of a foreign country. One of the only ones who does this is Kucinich. I wasnt terribly thrilled when Obama spoke of it as a war, when I would have preferred he use the phrase illegal occupation. I suppose he needs to garner votes that way, but I would like to believe he actually recognizes it for what it is..
I just cannot fathom what mindset still thinks it is an honourable 'war'.
Well, to be blunt, although it shouldn't be a surprise, because I've said it before.
The mission was accomplished when Saddam Hussein was hanged.
After that, the Iraqis should have been left to their own devices.
HOWEVER, imagine the hysterics and hoopla and hypocrisy of the Democrats, liberals, and primitives, whining alligator tears about our leaving Iraq with a damaged infrastructure, civil disorder, whatnot.
In trying to "rebuild" Iraq after Saddam was hanged, George Bush tried to please the Democrats, liberals, and primitives.....and as usual failed.
Some people and primitives are never happy; they'd gripe about it no matter what.
