Why should these guys be insulated from tough questions, when Republicans are "poor sports" or "uncommunicative" if they don't respond to queries, to hard questions?

I get the feeling that an Obama administration will be the most secretive and closed one in a long time.  Press briefings will be just that, they will say what they want heard and will take no questions.

you know, Palin is the only one who has had to take real questions.   She did Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric knowing what she was in for, and I think she did pretty well despite the editing hack jobs and the weird questions.

I expect it would be run a lot like the FDR administration - 'intellectuals' and trusted political insiders in a closed loop, to whom quite drastic measures will appear as "Necessary to meet the crisis" and a Congress willing to abet very extreme social engineering schemes.  The Supreme Court will act as a small check on them for a time, until a conservative Justice retires (or is compelled to retire).

Now, a month and a half later, Palin is all over the place giving interviews and having a jolly ol' time, and yet when Obama or Biden gets a tough question, they cancel interviews, blacklist stations from further interviews, attempt to smear and discredit the ones who dared to ask the questions, and complain about the questions being too "mean and ugly", and accuse the interviewer/questioner of being a right wing plant who gets their questions from McCain himself.

Lessee, has a PLO operative close enough to have him babysit his children, no ripples in the pool from the drive bys. At this PLO propaganda agent was leaving the Chicago area Obama attended a going away/farewell party there was rampant anti semetic speeches and even anti-semetic "poetry", drive bys remain slient.

Obama wants to "soak the rich, who make $250K +....,no $200K,....no $150K..., no $100K   or maybe $42K...as per his vote, and the drive bys say zilch. Rep. Barney Frank says they are going to spend spend spend  into more defecit then tax tax tax while they cut cut cut the budget for DEFENCE by 25%, and the drive bys whistle in the dark.

Suddenly, not only Cali wants YOUR MONEY to pay for the governmental excesses , but so do NEW JERSEY and NEW YORK to pay for THEIR excesses, and the driveby's say nothing's happening here, move along move along.

I repeat my thoughts of asome time ago, as a nation, if we stupidly elect Obama, we've suffered a national nervous breakdown. But how do you get the nation on the "shrinks" couch?
