Umm, just saw on Fox Business that Crude Oil is up about five bucks to $92/barrel. The NY Slimes furiously sent out an e-mail that it hit $100, but that shit ain't true. (Didn't see Brent Crude's price, so that could be what they were referring to).

Inflation: We've chastised President Obama many times for failing to live up to promises he made when running for the office. So in fairness, we want to credit him for fulfilling one of them: his pledge to raise energy costs.

In early 2008, candidate Obama told the San Francisco Chronicle that "under my plan ... electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."

Obama was referring to his plan to cap greenhouse-gas emissions, which would, among other things, effectively choke off coal as an energy source. He was just as fond of high gasoline prices, telling CNBC in June 2008 — as gas prices shot up to $4 a gallon — that he "would have preferred a gradual adjustment."

Six years later, and Obama has succeeded.

Only Obama wasn't operating to keep an intractable death cult from acquiring nuclear weapons. He was doing it in service to companies like Solandra (SP?).

To be honest, if Iran did acquire a nuke, they would likely use it on some high-value target like NY and at this point, I don't care. My biggest regret wouldn't be the Mamdani-voting NYers killed, it'd be the innocent Iranians killed in the retaliatory strikes.

It is Brent Crude that hit $100, which is ONLY oil that derives from the North Sea. Crude Oil is indeed at 92+/- at the moment. Jeez people, oil and stock prices fluctuate constantly, most of which has ZERO to do with political issues. The broader stock market is down today mostly because of AI concerns. There is still 4 1/2 hours left in the trading day, so no one knows what is going to happen or how it might transpire by the close.

Brent crude is $100.54 currently. IOW, the NY Slimes selected the price for the grade less relevant to the US because they want Trump to look worse.

The price I paid yesterday for gas - usual station, Regular, credit price - is up 17 cents from a week ago, but still 50 cents lower than its high a month or two ago.

I do not love paying 20 or 30 cents per gallon higher than January this year, and I love even less the deaths of 14 or 15 US service personnel, but those are dwarfed by the prospect of Iran's 47-year war on the US, in which thousands of Americans were killed ending ... and by Iran's ability to threaten most of Europe and much of Africa and Asia with nuclear weapons being crushed.

MSM Hate-Trumpery has gotten so blatant and ubiquitous that I assume that MSM Gotcha-Trump reports are false, pretzellated, or have significant omissions/selections of relevant facts.

I also don't lose hair over gas and grocery prices, but then I have little losable hair, . That said, before LIEden's bird flu chicken cull, we were paying between $6 and $7 for an 18-count carton of eggs. After the cull, that same 18-pack was between $14 and $15 for several months, the end of LIEden's MalAdministration and the first few months of Trump's second term. Prices started falling as young chickens not killed in the cull started laying, and has continued as chickens hatched after the cull also started laying. Now, depending on the store, we've been paying $2.85-$3.50. So, "Trumpflation" is so complicated with realities as to by a myth.
