OMG I just had to cut off my MAGA son.

I really didn't know how MAGA he was. He lives in another state. I have been sending him emails about what this administration is doing and how our democracy is in peril. This has been going on for about a month. I realize now that he didn't even read them. They were expansive, had links, and documentation to back it up. He wouldn't even look. He wouldn't even take a look.

He is Christian, college educated, and I thought empathic and reasonable.

But he just emailed back to me that "I’ve voted for Trump 3x - and will do it again when he’s on the ballot for a 3rd term in 2028."

I wrote back that I was disappointed that he was in a ****ing MAGA cult and not to contact me again.

I am so brokenhearted.

To the degree there was a conflict, it was initiated by hookaleft, and it was not something one-time.

That hookaleft started this almost a year and a half into Trump's Presidency suggests that (s)he got a clue, not mentioned in this post, and thought the son could be converted to Prog.

If this was the extent of the son's response, it was direct, basically saying "You won't change my mind," without the kind of threatening or "cultic" verbiage of DU-grade stereotypes.

As for the third term comment, Trump voters know this would require a constitutional amendment, so the son was trolling hookaleft.

Do you consider Rachel Maddow and The View as legitimate sources that can back up your views? Using another's views to back up your views proves nothing. I don't believe your above claim. The reason is I can't seem to find real proof to support any of the TDS bullshit. I'm pretty sure if there were "expansive documentation" on these claims, the dems/socialist would be shouting it from the rooftops.
Facts matter. Opinions not so much. You raised your son well. He's already smarter than you'll ever be.
