That
hookaleft started this almost a year and a half into Trump's Presidency suggests that (s)he got a clue, not mentioned in this post, and thought the son could be converted to Prog.
But he just emailed back to me that "I’ve voted for Trump 3x - and will do it again when he’s on the ballot for a 3rd term in 2028."
If this was the extent of the son's response, it was direct, basically saying "You won't change my mind," without the kind of threatening or "cultic" verbiage of DU-grade stereotypes.
As for the third term comment, Trump voters know this would require a constitutional amendment, so the son was trolling

I wrote back that I was disappointed that he was in a ****ing MAGA cult and not to contact me again.
