CNN Poll: Democratic Party's favorability drops to a record low
With many in the party saying publicly that their leaders should do more to stand up to President Donald Trump, Democrats and Democratic-aligned independents say, 57% to 42%, that Democrats should mainly work to stop the Republican agenda, rather than working with the GOP majority to get some Democratic ideas into legislation.
Democratic-aligned adults say, 52% to 48%, that the leadership of the Democratic Party is currently taking the party in the wrong direction. That’s another shift from eight years ago, when views on this metric were largely positive.
Ocasio Cortez’s stock in the party is especially high among those who describe themselves as liberal and those younger than 45, with roughly 1 in 6 within each of those groups calling her emblematic of the party’s values. No Democratic leader polled in the double digits among older adults or moderates on this metric.

Among the American public overall, the Democratic Party’s favorability rating stands at just 29% – a record low in CNN’s polling dating back to 1992 and a drop of 20 points since January 2021

2. My own personal poll is that CNN is overall a pile of steaming horseshit.

12. I remember all the complaints about polls during the election
that they were rigged, oversampled Republicans, fake polls, etc... Only they turned out to be accurate. It seems to me there is a lesson in that.
Will they listen? Hell no.

16. A lot of people on both sides of the political aisle don't like to believe polls that show their side
losing. And add to that a lot of polls have been off lately like that Des Moines Register poll showing Harris winning Iowa by double digits.
Silence the heretic with a poll that was such an outlier that it made national news and ended the career of the pollster that put it out.

You know good and well that if a shutdown occurred, Democrats would be blamed for it and their approval numbers would tank.
This particular poll is pure horseshit.

The Democratic Party received its lowest approval rating since at least March 2018, with 33% of Democrats, 86% Republicans, and 70% Independents disapproving. 49% of voters approve of the Republican Party (+1). 36% of voters approve of Congress (+5).

They have literally learned nothing over the last few years. Lost the White House and Congress and still can't figure out that their priorities do not align with the majority of the American people.
