As I've explained, he never made contact since MrsK or Lil passed.
He said, " Koz, I remember when you first met Mom and us. You and I were having a beer on the patio, and just talking, and you told me you were sorry for the country your generation is leaving for me,( Iraq war was going on) Just wanted to thank you. You barely knew us, and could have that conversation. I've been worrying a bit on how to talk to the girls( my grand children.) , about the shootings. And this conversation popped in my head. I have a few years before I have to talk to them, but I have a template to go by. So, Thanks"
I said, "You're Welcome.
, wait until the birds bees talk comes, but I can't help, you were 18 when I met yall,"
He just laughed, " it's good to hear your voice, can I call once in a while?"
I said ok, of course.


Generations pass, there is always some problem, to talk to our children about. And he is 42 now.
Might take years for them to understand, it's just our job as parents, to plant the seeds.

Supposedly she died a few months ago.  And she wasn't a little girl, she was a 50ish woman with a significant developmental disorder.

For those of you who haven't read any of his posts here's a brief synopsis.  Take it all with a grain of salt because this is what he's claimed and may not match up with reality:

He supposedly has his own serious mental issues, and he also has a serious drinking problem.

He married LilBit's mother 25ish years ago.  LilBit was profoundly handicapped (non-verbal, physical limitations, not toilet trained).  Basically, operating at the level of a one- or two-year-old.

Around the time he joined DU he had just sold his house and purchased an RV trailer for the three of them to live in and towed it down to Florida.  I've never seen a post from him explaining that decision, nor have I ever seen a post from him telling what he did for a living and where his money came from.

His wife (LilBit's mother) died early last year, and he basically had a mental breakdown.  At some point last year LilBit ended up being institutionalized.  It's not clear if he voluntarily did it or if some state agency took charge of her.  Some time after she was institutionalized he had a major heart attack which almost killed him.

LilBit had COVID earlier this year and then died two or three months ago.  No idea if the two things are related.

Throughout his history on DU, he has routinely posted about committing suicide and since his wife died those posts have become more and more frequent (around every other month).  A month or two ago he had some sort of meltdown which ended up with one of the other DUer's calling the local police to do a wellness check and him being hauled to the hospital.

It's impossible to tell how much of his claimed history is factual, because most of his post are almost incoherent and he often posts when he's falling down drunk.  I've never seen him mention having a stepson.  But I expect that his posts at least represent what he thinks is reality.  I think his brain is so fried that doesn't know what's real and what's not.
