Allow this old man a moments speculation, if you will

I read a good bit of fiction, mostly crime procedurals and some political intrigue
And I have read about this particular circumstance taking place, and watched it in a few videos that are involved with political criminal behavior. For example, the trilogy of Stieg Larsson of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo ( the Swedish version)
and I sometimes enjoy ruminating upon this:

The January 6 Committee begins televised hearings, and daily viewing becomes mandatory viewing as the timeline and the evidence becomes unveiled … internet speculation on criminality being exposed is ramping up, and as each day begins new evidence is revealed that lays out the conspiracy and the characters involved.

But in the background, and not reported yet but soon to be, DOJ and FBI are no knock entering abodes of soon to be guilty conspirators and slapping bracelets on them and frogmarching them to cells for the time being. MSM is focused on the hearings, and the law is rounding up the co-conspirators on the quiet.

Day 2-3 of the hearings move on outlining the criminality, and it suddenly occurs to the news outlets (due to Maga lawyers crying out) that certain individuals are being rounded up, and all of a sudden Repug Congress critters and a panoply of Repug senators are taken at airports and other ports of exit… while the January 6 committee is still in session, laying the evidence leading up to Pisswig’s culpability.


Do I think this will happen? No, sadly I don’t ….

Do I spend a little bit of time everyday wishing this would happen ?

So... you are kicking in doors and throwing people into prison prior to the trial, prior to charges being issued, prior to warrants being filed?

1. I hope it happens if there is hard evidence that 65% of population says

“we have to indict them.” Don’t think we are anywhere near that.

Before becoming jaded, I remember waking up several times every night hoping to read Fitzgerald had shackled bush.

Long rant short, It matters A GREAT DEAL that officials are not above the law and that they are held as accountable as the kid who is shot and killed for taking a bag of chips.

But I suspect that parts of the administration are counting on another "Watergate moment". Because MSM can't shove the proceedings into a 10 second slot after the grand slam homer of the day. RWNJ's will bitch, adding to the publicity.

I think of the two impeachment proceedings, which failed due to jury tampering/blackmail/fear. But did the "Innocent Victim" win in November?

Perhaps they worked.

And we CAN influence this result.
