The slow disappearance of "Trumpaltars"

" I think I coined the word "Trumpaltar", but you all can use it and spread it around a bit if you want. They were rare to begin with in Connecticut. But, you know, there are always a few wingnuts everywhere. In my community these Trumpsters erected a lawn display or every imaginable Trump banner, poster, cardboard cutout of the Donald, and other paraphernalia. Several of the "altars" disappeared last week. I think the accounting firm Mazars' statements to the Attorney General of New York regarding the unreliability of Trump's statements was the final nail in the coffin for them. All of the Trump stuff is gone from their yards, and now there are just a few U. S. Flags. Of course, they are not immediate converts to a new political stance, but they feel that they have been duped and are embarrassed about supporting Trump and the money that they spent on their "Trumpaltar." I don't think we will be seeing any Trump 2024 signs on this lawn. If you have a report to add to this post in your neck of the woods, please post here. I love being on DU.

2. There was one in my community at a busy intersection

It was on private property, so there’s that. I can’t pinpoint the date it all came down, but all that remain are three campaign signs supporting repuQ House and Senate candidates.

4. Be careful about giving TFG's fans too much credit

I think too many of them are willing to brush off his criminality and immorality

I don't know why the altars are coming down, but somehow I doubt it's due to some revelation by GOPers that TFG is a grifter that dupes them.

5. We still see flags and some signs on fences.

Here in East TN. There are also flags on trucks. There are fewer but they are not gone.

There is a large construction site ...looks like a big housing project..that has a Trump 2020 sign on their board where permits and such usually are. It is going very slowly. I hope there are serious problems. They have already rearranged the terrain dramatically. There will be flooding issues.

14. Hi neighbor

I'm in East TN too.

I agree we had a lot of Trumpaltars that may take awhile to melt away. I say melt because the wind and rain we are getting out here in the boondocks is enough to melt away and tear up any cheap materials. And Trump paraphernalia is nothing if not cheap.

But in my very sparsely occupied area there were 3 Trumpaltars. 1 came down right after TFG lost the election. Another came down about 3 months after TFG lost.

But the final guy up in the woods, which makes it hard to see, still has one. It use to be everything, flags, lawn signs, cutouts, banners and impeach Biden signs all over his front lawn. He's a pretty nasty guy so no one is surprised that he's holding on to his Hate God.

But now it's just one go Brandon sign. I suspect even that is gone now what with the heavy rains. I haven't checked because flooding is a problem with the bad roads around here. But I bet it has slid down his Round Up destroyed steep roadside. It costs to keep replacing those cheap signs.

20. We live in Blount County

we see ragged Trump crap and Confederate flags. Want to tell them they really do not respect those images, but really do not want to interact with them.

I am from GA, my great great great(?) grandfather was a Confederate soldier. Blount County was split during the war. I want to ask people with Confederate flags about which ancestor they are honoring....but again, do not want to speak to them.

15. There are a few in my neighborhood

in Broadway, VA. One house has a sign that says "If you're not for Trump you're Trespassing", along with a you-know-who-2024 (I try not to type his name or even say it if at all possible) and there's still one with that and a homemade "Let's Go Brandon", but for the most part they're gone. The egregious big homemade one next to the house of a Democrat (known, they had Biden plus all the local/state signs) that stood long past the election has finally been taken down. It was a real eyesore that I had to pass every time I went to the shelter.

21. Good!

That is good news but that's Connecticut. I would love to see this happening in Mississippi, Alabama etc

The slow disappearance of "Trumpaltars"

" I think I coined the word "Trumpaltar", but you all can use it and spread it around a bit if you want. ...

What a pathetic troll for DUmp Cred by a LPC Noob, :loser:   :rotf: . Evidently, these ::) "Trumpaltars" ::) are campaign signs and "Miss me yet" type signs. I don't think the latter will be going away, given LIEden's "accomplishments" of the past 13 months.

But borrowing Star Moron New Haven primary-grades-level-creativity term, In 2020 and to this day I see more ObamAltars and HillaryAltars on the backs of cars than BidenAltars.

I've never seen such a thing.  Yet lib-tards have shrines to the little smurf tyrant Fauci and they did the same for Mueller, probably Hillary and Barack as well.

But how kind of you to let other people use your word, which is literally just "Trump" and "altar" mashed together. No one else could have thought to do that!

Have never seen any here in the pro-Trump northern climes, especially with snow everywhere.  It's like saying I haven't seen any MAGA-hats these days, while everyone is wearing parkas and knit-pullovers.

Wow, it is almost like the French didn't already come up with a term like portmanteau which combines parts of two existing words.

who needs a Trumpaltar? All we have to do is say, FJB or LGB. We get the same effect, its portable, can be inserted into any live news appearance, sports events love them, and even a university can't keep them out.

The primitives for some reason equate "I'm not seeing as many (insert politician or issue) bumberstickers or "alters" with "This particular (insert politician or issue) is losing support among conservatives/Republicans." That's a very foolish way of viewing things, but I expect nothing less from leftists.

I hear that BidenAltars such as this one are becoming quite the thing:

At this point, they're probably likely to interpret anything they can find as a sign that demos are not going to lose badly in November.
